Last match of the challenge I got my first point. I'm just an average player, this challenge made me want to swear off MWO for awhile.
Please figure out some way that average players have a chance to obtain the goal of the challenge. In my opinion, Everyone of the players who won this dis so by shafting their teammates.
Will not participate in another challenge built along these lines.

It's good to help your team score some challenge points too.
Here Here! I killed three mechs last night in Crimson Straits. I was damaged but not so much that I wasn't a presence to be trifled with. I had someone start yelling at me to get in the fight when we were winning 7-0. I told him that I was following as support so that other people could get kills. I didn't intentionally take the other two, and was feeling kind of piggy. Once I explained that he lightened up and thanked me. I didn't complete the challenge. I can deal death, but staying alive was a real learning curve for me. Ahh well, time to become a better pilot ~Grins

I feel your pain brother... It was disgraceful to watch pilots get their kill, run off and power down. Not all acted in this cowardly fashion, but a great many did, and I am ashamed of their actions.

No, really. We had 11 v 1, but he almost spoiled us with a conquest cap, we nailed him just in time.
Took 80+ matches (I'm tired and may have miscounted, but it was 80+ for sure). Time to take a nice, long break from MW:O, the holidays are stressful enough as it is.

And a good team, on the other hand, will kill the others before they kill your pushing Atlas
An Atlas standing behind and shooting his LRMs is always a letdown to see, because it misses the purpose of an assault mech.
Playing smart does not mean playing cowardish.
I'd like to see a challenge with team bonuses as requirements, for example: get 8 assists+kills and 1 "most damage dealt" reward.
Well Spoken!

I had lots of fun. PT and VTR is much appreciated too.
Surviving should matter most in every single MW:O match. There are enough online games out there where dying has little to no consequences. I hope you will do more challenges along these lines in the future.
You have something on your nose...

Almost every single win that did not qualify was a match in which I couldn't secure my own kills. I got a lot of "Solo Kill" and "Kill most damage dealt" rewards only to have my actual kill itself be stolen away by somebody who popped over the ridge behind me to snipe it off at the last second. That's COMPLETELY not fair and I wish Solo Kills and Kills most damage dealt" also counted for this challenge, otherwise it really makes no sense. How is it me in my little Jenner or Cicada, does most of the work to take down a mech and then gets zero credit for it? I work hard, and I lose out.
Matches played: 56
Total points: 16
(avg points per match: 0.286)
(number of matches per point 3.5)
Wins/losses: 28/28
Qualifying wins/non-qualified wins: 16/28
Wins with a kill: 17/28
Wins with survival: 24/28
Assists/match: 4.8
Time played: 9.5 hours.
Mechs played:
GRF-1N (2 matches)
JR7-D (7 matches)
JR7-F (28 matches)
CDA-3M (19 matches)
Let's compare this to my mech stats, which I have in my signature:
Win/lose ratio of all four mechs together: 1.35
Kill/death ratio of all four mechs together: 1.1
All I wanted was the mechbay. The Victor is a nice bonus, but I feel like I worked hard enough and herded enough pugs to earn at least a mechbay.
I apologise to anybody I raged out in the last hour of the event, my losing streak was pretty unbearable. Matchmaker made sure I was put on the losing team for the last 3 hours that I played. (in fact, my last 3 hours have a win/lose ratio of 0.33 ... that's absurd.)

I found it to be a hard but a fun challenge, since I'm the player type who doesn't care about Kill/Death ratio I tend to die a lot and this forced me to change my play style a little.
The reward was worthwhile too.
I give this challenge a thumbs up.
Same here. Though I do care about the K/D ratio.

Here are my main gripes though:
1. get a kill and survive.
Cowardice and backstabbing tactics should not be rewarded. Hit and run is not a great tactic when its one kill then hide.
2. Hyper pugs.
Not sure how many times I was taking a nice set up cycle of shots at a target, moving back and forth from cover and not being noticed, only to have some random jump in front of me, while I am in mid shot with lasers, steal a kill then complain about taking friendly fire. Also, when I am trying to back up and get out of the enemies line of fire, only to be blocked by someone trying to bash through me to get a kill or to hide, just for me to be dropped. Especially sickening when you have a good score to make a point and its near the end of a winning match....
3. Premium time after one kill.
Was a great thing to offer and give out for sure. Not disagreeing there. BUT, it seemed like there were an awful lot of trolls out just to use the premium time not caring about the victor, and just wanting to lone wolf and get the bills.
I busted my ass off this weekend, because the prize victor was the first mech I racked up kills with while using trials, and I have a bunch of xp built up for it. I could buy it, but would rather spend the bills on setting it up after winning it, or now, on my other chassis......I even pulled a cowering team from a loss by pulling 5 kills and over 700 in dmg, all with a half ct'd one armed atlas....while they stood back getting picked off one by one....
well, here are my horrible stats for the weekend anyway.
Games: 108 between friday and monday
wins: 49
Kills: 48
Assists: 324
qualifying points: 15.......
I may not be the best player, but, I do what I can to help my team win, and I think the assists are a good indicator of that. Not everyone can get a kill. I feel horrible for light pilots trying to win this one.....
next challenge you should really reward actual teamplay. Points for flanking, staying in formation, tagging, narcing, assists, protection/saviour kills....you know, thing that require actual teamplay to work well. Not just kill and survive. Like I keep saying, this is not call of doody or gta. I came to this game to play with a team and play something a little more in depth. Don't ruin that.
Otherwise, thank you for the PT, and for the new maps and everything else that is making this game really good.

87 games, 20 points - got the Victor, a mech I actually didn't have in my stable (one of the few).
My team won 58.6% of the matches
I scored at least one kill in 44.8% of the matches
I died in 67% of the matches (was hard to put a stopper on my "door-kicker" style)
I got an assist in 87% of matches (these were games where my kills were the only ones)
My longest droughts were 19 games without a point (when I was stuck at 13) and then 10 games when I hit 19.
Laid out the way everyone else did it:
51 Wins, 36 Losses
62 Kills, 59 Deaths
353 Assists
87 Matches, 20 qualified matches
Qualifying matches (I'd get bored or feel like my ELO was creeping up, so would switch mechs frequently):
AS7-BH: 1
AS7-DDC: 1
BLR-1GHE: 1
BLR-1S: 2
GRF-1NP: 2
STK-3F: 7
STK-M: 6
(I did play a few matches with the 9S and then my Pirate's Bane, after I qualified, but didn't include those numbers. Ironically, I had 4 qualifying matches out of those 10 games, too - Pirate's Bane is fun, y'all)

71 matches, 22 qualified matches
Qualifying matches with:
Ice Ferret, 4
Hunchback, 1
Blackjack, 6
Dire Wolf, 5
Adder, 2
Timber Wolf, 2
Mist Lynx, 2

Battles: 110
Wins: 47 (42%)
Loses: 63 (57%)
Points: 12 (60%)
Assists: 334 (3.03%)
Kills: 52 (47%)
Deaths: 92 (83%)
That's how I averaged in this tournament. What I don't get is this:
- Get 1 or more Kill, Get 1 or more Assist, Survive, and Win the match via either the Primary or Secondary objectives
Also, if anyone wants to they can check my math on the percentage side of things> I"m not good at checking that, except maybe the batting average part. Now that I do get.

Players did a lot of lurming and jumping in front of others to force their way in when they spotted a red CT. I saw a lot of mediums and lights and even heavies running after the first medium or light they saw for kills. Like half the team starts chasing a Firestarter that ran by and leaves the other half, Assaults and heavies with the other 11 opponents. Saw that a lot more this weekend than any. Usually just one or two lights/mediums go chasing. This time it was very surreal. I got shot in the back a lot and I got backhumped a lot. I'm not sure if they were just trying to force their way in to the fight or using me as a meatshield so they wouldn't get hit. I died a lot like that.
But I think for PGI, I did see a lot more spotting from lights for lurms (I guess you could call that team work). I think that caused more people to use BAPs too so people to view red armor faster for the kill. Saw a lot more Lurms and Surms with Artemis. In the end, I just started using my 3 KitFoxes with ECM to 1) provide coverage to others (cause many matches I didn't see a lot of ECMs and the team that didn't got romped.) 2)Lurm a little in the beginning when I see people brawling opponents to try to help them out. 3) Stick to my assaults/heavies when I can 4) Hopefully get a kill when I can.
Again, the rest of the 10 points too 2 days and 56 matches to do. WAS VERY TIRED. I also saw way too much Viridian Bog when I was in my Dires and my Tims. I didn't like navigating in there cause LURMS found you and there seems to be no cover. You also never see the spotter and with all the stuff on the floor, you will never see the light blast you in the back and then run around that weird crab carcass in the middle of the arena. My Dires got stuck on plants, go figure.
But I got the Victor and the MechBay. I also got a scolding from my wife cause I spent a lot of time this weekend doing this. Estimating 95 matches at about 10 minutes a match. 950 mins = almost 16 hours. That was 5 hours a day after I put my kids to sleep.
And now i need a nap.
P.S. I HATE ARTY STRIKES....
