No, I pointed out that you have no way of commenting about anything regarding this game because you HAVEN'T PLAYED IT.
period
your opinion is made from an ignorant standpoint because you CAN'T have anything relevant and current to say about the game because YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT.

"Pizza hut sucks!"
"Why do you say that?"
"I ordered pizzas form them for 2 years and 6 months ago I got tired of them. I haven't ordered from them in 6 months because their ingredients suck"
"You do no they updated their ingredients list right?"
"It doesn't matter, 6 months ago it sucked so it must suck now!"
"How do you know?"
"Well uhm... just because dammit!"

rofl
gpclose though

I haven't ate Taco Bell in a few years, but I know it turns my stomach into a nuclear reactor, and turns my butt into a fire fountain.

you guys are funny, you THINK you're "Cute" but thankfully PGI has shown it has enough common sense to know that someone complaining about what the game was like 6 months ago and that hasn't played has nothing constructive to offer in regards to the game play.

Just got out of a match where a Firestarter ran into the middle of our 3 lances, and everyone within 500 meters charged at it immediately, guns blazing. Fantastic amounts of friendly fire. The guy who eventually killed the Firestarter also killed one of his teammates in the process.

We won though, and he got his 1 point. So he got rewarded for doing that.

GG.

Except for the salty tears part, your post is orders of magnitude of spot on perfect.

I see that happen regardless of the event.

I can't count how many times I've typed "Guys, do we really need 7 mechs chasing that lone spider while the rest of the team is rolling us?"
"Hey, can you not shoot me just so you can get a kill?"

Even has nothing to do with that I promise

Educate yourself, play the game, THEN comment on the game.

I don't play much, I play a few matches here and there so that I CAN have an educated opinion of the game. See how that works?

It does happen regardless. I'd just like to see a rule where you need 1 kill and no TK to get the point.

The challenges where you get points for damage, minus your amount of team damage, are on the right track, IMO.

As you say, friendly fire is a general problem in this game. I wish PGI did something about it, like making the crosshair flash blue for FF, getting Betty to say something every time you hit a teammate and showing the amount of FF at the end of every match.

If we're going to persist in this charade longer then I will oblige: I no longer play, but has the game really changed much since I left? Besides, I was commenting on how this tournament gave me no reason to return. Not even the recent pretty pictures of CW promises (much like the pretty pictures from Transverse) have made me feel compelled to reinstall.

I wish they punished it more harshly in the form of cbills. Let a TK cost about 50k and see how fast they stop. Let each point of FF cost about 500 cbills and see how people just stop blindly firing hoping to get a kill

Yes.

FF damage and TK's should cost a LOT. Make people do everything in their power to stop doing it. Someone walks in front of you? Move your damn beams. I get that it's not always the firing player's fault - I've been there, of course - but seriously... Tk's SHOULD cost you a hell of a lot. And yeah, I would absolutely love to see per-point FF damage cbill penalties.

I promise that you'd see it mitigated a lot. The ones that would QQ about that would just be QQing because their cbill maount now reflected it and it would be along the lines of "Cbill rewards are too little and now if I shoot and kill teammates I'm "punished"

I know, before you say it, the irony of that is not lost on me. I'd enjoy collecting the buckets of those tears as well though :P
(the buckets today are almost full)

500 cbills per point of damage and 50k per kill in today's economy IS a lot ;)

simply deducting the friendly damage from their "scored" damage before giving awards, and NOTING IT like they do with Premium time "Hey, without Friendly Fire, you could have earned another 76,540 cbills", would be a good start, as well as FF Damage being listed in the End of Match Screen.

As for actual TKs, I think 50k per, sounds just about perfect.

10 matches, 9 groups of placid, cowardly morons. Shamefully, finally lost my cool and called one team out on it. Can only absorb so much stupid for one weekend.

Might have to go out and do something else.

Kinda sad as the last few tourneys were mostly OK......

There is a hell out there.

It would definitely punish the "chaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge pew pew pew who cares if my teammates are circling that atlas and it would benefit my team more if I waited a few seconds even if it meant not getting that precious kill, until they turn his back to me and then take one or two pot shots instead of just firing constantly without any regard for my teammates" which would do wonders to stop players not accepting that in games, if you play poorly, you DON'T win a trophy.

I've played 26 matches, I'm 11-15 with 4 qualified rounds.

4 rounds I failed to get a kill.

3 rounds I got a kill but didn't survive. 2 of those rounds we were up by a lot but I refused to sit back and hide.

I've been TK'd once through my rear CT. I've been blocked by two teammates from returning to cover and killed by the enemy. I was watched by two teammates, who seemingly refused to return fire, while I was hit and destroyed by LRMs from the second last heavily damaged enemy mech, while returning to cover.

I've seen nothing but selfishness and cowardice during my matches. The requirement to "Survive" is terrible when combined with a kill and a win.

This is by far the worst challenge that I've taken part in. Many time worse than the 50 Wins challenge, and I thought nothing would top that.

Unless you are in a well run 8-12 man, groups are not that much better IMO, this weekend. Sadly, I hate drop command, and the few good ones I have dropped with only last a few hours before the rampant idiocy burns them out.

And tempted to buy DA:I to play on tourny weekends if this type of scoring becomes the norm again. Lance Challenge was fun. A couple around it were OK. The last two? Just largely bad.

sorry for your luck in teammates?
There's plenty of others who are having a completely different experience with their teams and play and enjoying the event.

Requiring people to survive has prevented those who exploited every other event by just running in to die early and leave their team shorthanded. Now they can't do that.
