No.

1 - You'll never achieve a 50/50 win ratio without streaks of wins and losses - win streak, fine, but how many losses are you going to play where you get 0 CBills? 3? 4? 10? I've had loss streaks that long and longer, but I keep playing because at least I'm making CBills and progressing some. Not gonna do that with a zero CBill reward.

2 - This "delayed shooting" or waiting for a cherry-red CT before shooting -- I'll admit I'll feel this has happened to me in the past -- I'm also gonna say this is all in my head, because I'll only ever feel it when I'm having a drag-out brawl with someone and then a teammate pops in to help and kills them. You feel bitter because you did all that work and no Killing Blow! But I'm gonna say 90% of the time it's just that -- feeling. Hell, maybe they were holding fire because they just finished alpha'ing someone else and are cooling down... I'm busy piloting here MY mech, I don't know.

3 - All the tourneys and events nowadays promote Assists over Kills. I think that has to make the "wait-for-killshot" people in the minority.

4 - The idea that people who are dedicated to doing nothing but taking kill-shots are going to be deterred by from that action by no CBills doesn't really fly -- people will still crow about their KDR and number of kills they got that round, etc. -- unless you're advocating no screen messages announcing kills during the round, and no list of kills at the end of round screen.

5 - No reward for close games - Imagine a near 15 minute game that ends with no reward due to something random like a player's client losing connectivity mid-brawl - not your fault, not the team's fault, just dumb luck.

6 - No reward for personal effort. - You can't pick your teams in this game if you play PUG -- PUG is where noobs start off and where we need to attract and retain new players -- so you're going to be thrown in with a random crowd every match. Hopefully you're lucky and MM does a good job, and you end up with a good team - but sometimes you won't -- you'll do OK, you'll act in the interests of the team, but other players won't, and you end up with a loss -- you are advocating punishing the entire team for the actions of some and you don't even acknowledge those who did play as a team -- as others have mentioned, the new reward system gives players bonuses for team play. Being punished for actions taken by others isn't gonna fly with new players IMHO.

They effectively had zero CBill games enabled back in the day when Repair and Rearm was still a thing. If they hadn't removed Repair and Rearm, I would be either not be playing this game at all, or I would not have put any money into it.

Significantly mentally challenged forum software deleted my original lengthy reply due to logout issue, so this will be brief.

1. Where have I ever mentioned 0 CB rewards or reimplementation of Repair & Rearm?

2. It's not about feeling bitter, it's about the game encouraging people to act selfishly (wait until you can kill, tag enemies left and right) to the detriment of the team (not inflicting damage until you can grab the kill and accompanying CB reward, spreading damage around so that the kill results in a CB reward). I've already explained this, in this thread, multiple times, but for some reason people are still obsessed with misrepresenting only one of these points, and ignoring the other.

3. "All"? Out of the past five, only one had assist rewards greater than kill rewards. The ones that had equal kill and assist rewards event-wise were still compliant to the in-game increased CB rewards on a kill.

4. Yes, people will still KS in order to pump their KDR. KSing and tagging will still happen much more rarely because of lack of incentive. Or are you one of those strange people that claim that the laws, punishments, and police action regarding murder have no effect on the murder rate? Because last I checked, murder is illegal, there are severe punishments for it, but people are still murdering each other every day...

5. Why would you assume that something I have not mentioned and have no reason to change (0 CB on disconnect) would change for the worse, and in the same point assume that something I have mentioned and would have reason to change (reward amount based on match length and maybe even match Elo rating to encourage playing better and offset the time matchmaking takes to set up outlier games) wouldn't change for the better? How does that logic work?

6. A system that isolates one player from the actions of another in the same team can not exist. Period. The true dilemma here is between a system that rewards personal actions (which can be exploited for personal gain to the detriment of the team) and a system that rewards team accomplishments (which can not be exploited for personal gain to the detriment of the team).

Have you guys ever played, for example, League of Legends? It's a team game (check) with both PUG and arranged team matches (check), an in-game store for both in-game and real-world currency (check), based around side-grade progression (check), that has flat rewards for the entire team, win or lose, adjusted for both match length and outlier placement.
Why does it work there? Why don't newbies leave that game if they get "punished for the actions of their teammates"? Why do people voluntarily play support characters in that game? Characters that will pretty much never get a kill and are generally pretty fragile? Can it have something to do with the fact that they get the same rewards for winning the game as their kill-machine carry teammate? Teamwork is what wins the game, so you reward teamwork instead of personal achievements.
