I think that many people forget about what goes on simply from an educational standpoint. If I hadn't exposed myself after I got out of the military I may not have known myself.
I am sure that paying for the unlock would work, but it would take a substantial amount of people asking for it to make it happen.
Yeah. Sadly, a lot of people, even after being exposed, choose to continue to wear their Fox News issued blinders. And it's not just 'Murica! I see plenty who take their EuroSuperiority complex out on Americans, as if they were all one singular hive mind, while showing themselves to be just as close and narrowminded. Ditto Asia, Middle East, etc.
It's one reason I don't live in my birth country, by choice. One learns a lot more, and sees the world through much different lenses if one puts down the propaganda spouted by his homeland and culture. AND EVERY Country and Culture twists the facts so they look better.

Because today WWII and 20th century history, if they are taught at all, are taught: "WWII 'Murika drops the bomb" - thats it, nothing else.
FYI WWII history is not taught in japanese schools (and certainly nothing of the 30s preceeding America's being dragged into it)
While in Germany they keep the camps open, specifically so that no one ever forgets. So which example should we follow?
