Yeah. In the West we very much are shocked and offended, in general by the Swastika, yet fail to understand and sympathize that in the Pan-Asian regions, the Rising Sun carries the same connotations for evil and atrocity.

And just as blindly overlook the Soviet Star, despite Stalin and company killing far more Jews than {Godwin's Law}. Such a myopic and selective world we live in.

Because today WWII and 20th century history, if they are taught at all, are taught: "WWII 'Murika drops the bomb" - thats it, nothing else.

FYI WWII history is not taught in japanese schools (and certainly nothing of the 30s preceeding America's being dragged into it)

I think that many people forget about what goes on simply from an educational standpoint. If I hadn't exposed myself after I got out of the military I may not have known myself.

I am sure that paying for the unlock would work, but it would take a substantial amount of people asking for it to make it happen.

Yeah. Sadly, a lot of people, even after being exposed, choose to continue to wear their Fox News issued blinders. And it's not just 'Murica! I see plenty who take their EuroSuperiority complex out on Americans, as if they were all one singular hive mind, while showing themselves to be just as close and narrowminded. Ditto Asia, Middle East, etc.

It's one reason I don't live in my birth country, by choice. One learns a lot more, and sees the world through much different lenses if one puts down the propaganda spouted by his homeland and culture. AND EVERY Country and Culture twists the facts so they look better.

While in Germany they keep the camps open, specifically so that no one ever forgets. So which example should we follow?

That just it, you think it is real, but that doesn't make it real, but that is your problem.

Again, they are not satanic markings, if I wrote you a check for $666 would you not take it, because it represents some imaginary context that you made up.
The simple fact that only 33% of the world is christian is a pretty damn good indication, that only these people view that number as satanic. It's also a good indication that it isn't real.
Pitchforks, a tool for hundreds of years, somehow has been warped into a satanic symbol, by christians and only christians.
A buddist or hindu doesn't look at the number 666 and a pitchfork and think of satanic things. Why is this, because they aren't real things nor are they satanic.

There are no such things as curse words either, there are just words. Words only have meaning based on the context they are given and/or recieved in.

Swastika is also just a symbol, it is meaningless. It is only a persons interpretation of that symbol that gives it any meaning.

BTW as far as I know, nobody is actually offended by the number 666 or the words From Hell, or a pitchfork. Execpt perhaps christians...and that is probably, because it is childish to be so.

The world has become over emotional on every topic, and if the wind blows in the wrong direction it offends someone.

ah, so your PoV is right, and everyone else who disagrees is wrong. Got it.

I agree it is everywhere. Different cultures in my experience just has different types of the same issues.

Glad to see someone else has their own perspective rather than what they have been fed!

Hey, according to the news services back in my home country, I should have been killed and strung to a bridge by a cartel now, where I presently live. Yet the reality is, this particular state and region, is SAFER to walk the streets at night than in pretty much any major city back home. And has never has School or Theater mass shootings.

Wow, good piece of information there. Makes a difference when someone who lives in a "questionable" area(at least according to propaganda) chimes in.

Agree with this. It's not deal breaking, but tbh, because of personal reasons, I don't like some of the paintjobs. I don't want to run around looking like a 12 year old TRVE KULT wannabe kiddie satanist, for instance, in the Firebrand. And even if you make all 3 channels the same color, the pattern shows.

But whether some feel it silly or not, a number of pèople have posted they would not buy one because of it. I believe units like the Seraphim for instance, own no Firebrands or Hellslingers.

Others have found, for various reasons the YLW to be insensitive/offensive to the Chinese.

Some, like the Ember, just are limiting and stupid looking.

I'm fine with the Unique skins being locked and available ONLY on the Hero chassis, but not really in love with the Hero chassis being locked into the skin, and TBH, the only "reason" I can think for it is the one's with unique geometry (which I believe are actually only the Founders/ Phoenix/ Invasion 1&2/ Resistance "Primes") would possibly need to be reskinned individually, which would be a lot of extra work, for no real gain.

But I don't think any of the "true" Heroes have custom geometry, so there is no reason, really, to lock them, and thus, PGI is losing money in some cases, over it.

ahem

I agree that 666 is just a number, although it does represent something I and 2+ billion other people find offensive. The number itself is not evil though. However, Firebrand was quite obviously painted in a way that is offensive to those of a Judeo-Christian belief. It's not like some random number came up when drawing it... I understand that symbols/numbers/words etc have no capability of being evil on their own. But if someone else is offended by it, why on earth would I want to use? That, IMO, is childish and disrespectful.

Is it really an issue if I want to paint my mech in a way that doesn't offend others, or I just would rather see it in?

that would seem to be the bigger question. Regardless of if Desolator or anyone else feels it's silly that one might get offended, who does it remotely hurt or inconvenience, if we do have the ability to change it?

PGI is the only one being "inconvenienced", and if they make more money off sales, then the answer would be "No One".

Agreed. Give me the ability to PAY to change my camo specs, OR give me the ability to apply a 30% cbill bonus OR 30%XP bonus to a mech of my choice.

What Are your Unit colors? I have the Atlas-S and Centurion-AH In Murphy's Colors (Blue/Black/Ochre). I even have Hellslinger in 'em as well. YLW only has 2 colors but I can go any two color combo of the unit colors...

Purple. I use Pleoni, a Copper color the name I forget off the top of my head, and a Yellow color we use in place of gold. I sometimes change the copper color for black. This is applied on the Sherman pattern with the stars appearing yellow/gold

Here is an example picture with me using the black variant from the Stock night pictures. The Quickdraw on the left.

Again I would like to the option to change camo's on hero/invasion/etc mechs
I'd also like the option to change more colours on the clan invasion skins (disappointed by the way they were implemented tbh).

I'm loathed to make the choice between a mech I like the look of (with colours and skins I paid for) and a mech that earns the cBills (which I also paid for).
