There's lots of crap in this game hardly anyone uses... Conquest game mode, certain mech builds, certain modules, etc. etc.

There'd be MORE people using a properly implemented VOIP than NOT, that's for sure.

its some times really hard to have all your friends get on TS,
also this isnt even an option for Pugs, even in CW where communication should be key,
also some people are turned off at having to download a thrid party soft ware just to talk in game,
a built in VOIP would help allot with how the the game plays, communication is key in a team game,
i think allot of people would use it, if it was built in to MWO, make it like global chat, off by default,
with options to mute from the Stats screen, some one being loud, (Tab)(click) muted,...

I would disable it as fast as possible. It will be worse than useless.

perhaps for you, but i would use it, and i have friends that would as well,
and i can see allot of players using it, as it would help with communication,
as i said it would probably be toggleable on&off, default being off,
not everyone would use it, but if some do than its a good feature,

Why is this game becoming less and less free? The videos featured in this thread aren't grasping the full scope of the issues here.

I won't type a long essay but I will say that the mute button is all we need and that there are many ways to harass and bully people without using your voice, which is happening more and more on MWO. Have you ever seen gaming troll videos by people by such as "we'regonnalose"? he doesn't have to curse you out or even talk he can just troll you in his own way and ruin your experience.

This video completely disregards being insta-killed upon spawning by a few of your own teammates who have a grudge against you for standing up to their harassment and bullying in the past. Something they like to do is curse you out and then bait you into saying mean things back to them. These players now insta team-kill me when they encounter me in group games and claim to other people that I said "mean things" and that "I deserve it" and it just makes no sense at all to me.

I hope people understand that this is what is ruining mechwarrior, not people being able to use a microphone in VOIP. This video completely disregards the harssment and bullying in MWO which I encounter and describe above. People in this game like to make fun of people over voice chat, gang up on and bully people, etc. en masse with their cliques of friends.

threris a mute button allready. your post is mostly off topic. you may report thos that harass you and teamkill you for everytime they do it. if you rekord it even better. However do not name and shame people


Why did you necro this thread again? this one is about how voicechat would influence the game IF and When it is implemented. it is very old. why did you not make a new one instead? or use one of the harassment threads?

Tis MWO forum search strikes again. Most forums show the NEWEST content first but not PGI's. I think they enjoy having the old threads necro'd.

The necromizer likely looking for a thread he wanted to post in related to the subject matter, this one came up 1st/2nd and he made his post. He obviously failed to check the post dates (those dates ARE small and not loud at all) and said his peace.

Need to partially blame PGI.
