It's not shooting out cars people. The scale is actually correct, just visually it will look smaller compared to the rest of the mech. It's also behind the covers until you fire and then they are covered again, so again not a big issue.

Do the claws work like a missile door? It there a delay before firing and can they be manually opened?

I believe Russ tweeted that they are "working on that".

I watched the video, the claws... Do they open automatically when firing with no delay or in order to avoid a delay, you have to open them manually like a missile may door?

they just need to look at their rules for the customized weapons overall.

The thing is alex doesn't do the weapon customization visuals. He just does the mech concepts. And a modeler is responsible for swapping weapons. This is the reason why a lot of times the mech ends up not looking like the concept. For example, the blackjack. Which was concepted to have a lot more than a simple tube for its barrel

Lets remind ourselves that the actual mech looks great. Its the customized portion that is lacking:

Poor fella got neutered. I don't see why they don't just superimpose the oldAC20 arm mesh on the new stump when an AC20 is equipt

There has to be some sort of quality control

so much this. If theres a concept, the modlers shoudl really try their best to match it. At least try to look like an effort was made

Weapon scaling has been a bit of fail all through the 3d modeling of the mechs its not just AC20's.
Srm pods on assaults and mediums are massively different yet are supposed to weigh the same and fire the same size missiles

Same with thunderbolt and summoner shoulder pods, doesn't matter what you put in them they stay the same size, which for mods that are field mods it does kind of make sense, but then any sense in it is rendered viod by the fact that a catapults 'arm' pods could easily take three streak2's but no we have to have etra part on the allready easy targets..

there just isn't any sane reasoning behind what they do..
