I just realized...its the clan version of the Wubshee.
XL engine
Fast moving assault
Laser Vomit
Assault armor.
only 5 tons of difference.

Agreed. I'm sure when the Clans get their own personal quirks, it'll get a revisit.

I have faith.

Russ told me directly that the quirks the Mist Lynx got on release were placeholders.

So I'm assuming that's the case here as well.

That said, as Russ put it, it only need compete with the Victor, Zeus and Awesome. If on par with other 80 tonners, well mission accomplished. We will see if indeed, it is on par. Lack of JJs and mondo Shoulder pads or PP-FLD ballistic make me doubt it will be on par with the VTR:

Lack of JJs, Mondo Shoulder Pads, a massive planetoid of a head that is probably CT that you could hit from outer space.

Low slung arms, few/no (?) high mounted weapons, tonnage on par with the Summoner.

I have...concerns...

The only advantages I can see at the moment are:
  • Raw linear speed
  • Some pretty mind-blowing torso twist speeds and arm speeds
  • Clan lasers, because...clan lasers

Lastly the GAR-D with 2x CT Energy mounts using GAR-A LA with 4x Energy mounts can run a solid asymmetrical build for a total of 6x Energy hardpoints.

It would look worlds better if they removed that pointless nose or those giant mech cheeks. It fails to look like the classic art, so why stick with it?

The non Invasion Prime looks so much better, it's a slap to the ugly faces of the preorders. They need to fix that face.

If it was just ugly, that would be fine, but instead it looks ugly and comical.

Gargoyle is 90 tons. 5 Ton difference between it and the banshee. Plus that 5 tons means it can lose a ST unlike the wubshee.

I like how the video shows Streaks being used "beyond 360m".

Yea, that'll show the Garg!

Sadly, i can't really see a role this mech could fit.
It's a fast moving assault, yes. But it carries less weapons than a stormcrow. Having a fast assault is nice, but the 400xl seems like it costs too much. It will have like what, 20t for weapons and heatsinks? It's just too much of a tradeoff im my eyes.

It has assault armor, but it also has assault hitboxes. You basically end up with a stormcrow that has more armor but is way easier to hit. The timber will probably totally outclass it in every single way (well that was not suprising actually). I love assault mechs but i will skip this one. IMO, the engine/weapon ratio is just way off.

So what you're saying is spurdo the mech can't even brawl a warhawk, despite said warhawk firing streaks beyond max range?

So the normal variant looks BETTER than the Invasion one? Shenanigans!

It sucks that you have to lose the 30% C-bill bonus if you want to have 2 Energy hard points in the CT. I think I am done buying Hero/Prime packages. I find myself running a bonus mech instead of the best variant solely for the C-bill bonus.

Well, it's obvious this 'mech is outclassed by other Clan 'mechs in lower weight classes. Cattra may have been trying harder to kill Sean this time, but still not -real- hard (c'mon, streaks @ 400+ meters?) & still probably killed him in every clip they faded out from.

Not to mention, the one you would want to play the most for the c-bill boost is probably the ugliest 'mech in game. Not sure that I'll play this one any more than my MLX or IFR. Though it -may- boat energy + srm's decently, it wont do it any better than SCR/TBR's.

It's like this on most chassis that have CT Hardpoints + they released the omnipods before. Everyone could check that before buying the mech :P

Because that will be pretty much the only way this 'mech will work. And you'd probably better of with standard ermeds than mpls for better range/more symmetry with the clpl.

I don't think it has enough tons to even mount those weapons. If it has, it has no room for additional heatsinks and will be way too hot to use it.
