Yeah, if this thing can effectively run an XL...

I still say you don't run one just so you can tank as much as possible (especially given the close-in nature of this mech), but...with an XL? Thing can definitely kick some doors open.

2 x ERLL & 4 x AC/5; Standard 300 with near max armor.

just trying it out for now, but enjoying it. Considering options, but I like the range and ammo independent lasers,

a king crab that can last the entire battle.. and hopefully not run out of ammo.. while also doing quite a bit of damage...
also 2 tons to play around with...
2x AC10, 2x ER LL, 2x LRM5's (can replace with an LRM10)

I dunno if anyone's posted anything similar, of course there are other ways you could go about focusing strategy but me personally... well this night I'm taking it as slow as the match maker itself:

KING CRAB KGC-000(L) I need to edit this build to put the SRM ammo in the CASE equipped torso and Gauss ammo in the CT and Head fixed

Do you see what I did there... do you see how it is a million times better than stock? Of course I want a faster build eventually but for now I can't turn this down it's treating me well. Will put up a pic of paint I chose.

(As I sit in the MechLab, I wonder if it would be a good idea to put the SRM ammo in the CASE equipped left torso, kind of where it belongs lol, remove the right torso CASE entirely along w/ one ton of gauss ammo from the head and then equip Artemis... my only feelings against that are that you already have to have good aim to make use of what ammo is available and slightly tight missiles on only 2 SRM 6 lauchers seems unworthy... it might be a better idea if you NEED Artemis to equip SRM4's instead so the hardpoint allocation stays the same with a sacrifice of only 4 missiles which could arguably go to waste on side components w/ out Artemis.... who knows I have C-Bills and I like to try you should to)

The 3 ERLL 2 Gauss seems to be very effective, I don't know I don't have the MC but others seem to enjoy it.

Sadly I won't be able to try it out for myself until the 18th. Swap armor ratios to your taste of course, I dropped a tiny bit from the legs for that last .19 tons for the half ton of SRM ammo, but otherwise has the default 'max armor' smurfy values... I wouldn't even consider such a horrible armor ratio myself, but eh.

EDIT: Derp. I just realized I used an XL instead of standard... That explains why that build actually fit in the weight limits.

Running this right now and it has been doing great, has long range poke and people don't like to get up close to you. And its not extremely hot or slow.

Been using a simple build, only three weapons but those AC/20s dish out so much pain while staying cool, Went LPL rather than a LL (thinking of replacing it with a PPC though). STD 350 I stole borrowed from my Atlas keeps me nice and mobile.

The 3 ERLL 2 Gauss seems to be very effective, I don't know I don't have the MC but others seem to enjoy it.


I like this build a lot...however, you can move the ammo around so you don' t need the case (and can add an extra, much needed, ton of AC/20 ammo).
