The Nova's Prime and S variant arm omnipods each got -5% energy heat generation. Those are the ones with 3 or 6 energy hard points.

All Summoner center torsi got +25% acceleration/deceleration and +5% speed.

underwhelmed is the understatement of the year regarding the lack of anything usefull these quirks have done

the problem with the Nova is that
1) Heat= it over heats way too quickly, as in it cant fire often even with ERSL,(too long to cool down!!)
2) Clan Lasers= because of the longer Beam time it requires allot of face time,(ill take IS ML Any-Day!!)
3) Shape= because of its Nose, even when Torso Twisting its exposing its CT,(this + FaceTime = Death!!)
4) Low-hard-Points= you have to fully expose your self to attack, (Love the Nova, but its still a disadvantage!!)
5) Jump-Jets= 2.5Tons and 5Space you cant use due to JJ,(if we could take them off more heat sinks!!)
personally i feel the Nova doesn't need a -10% heat Gen, but +20% heat Dispersal,
the Nova Doesn't have a problem getting hot, it has a problem losing heat,
More Omni-pods would help as well, A-C LT PLEASE?!

Interestingly I took my Nova out for a spin yesterday with 12 ersl and 4 mg and in the group queue the combination of the removal of the negative quirks and the 10% heat gen really helped. It was still useless in the solo queue but thats in the nature of such a squat clumsy mech as everyone else was playing passive.

plus 5% to the total speed is a new one, hope they do more of that in the future!

I don't think the JJs are an issue or they wouldn't be if JJs on anything but a light were actually useful tactically. Same goes for a Summoner. If both this mechs jumped like a Firestarter for example, that would offset the lack of weapons tonnage and such.

Other than that, I fully agree with your assessment of the Nova. I would like to add "Scale" to the list as well though. It is way too big for a 50 ton mech, honestly about the height of a Cataphract but even wider. Drop the scale by 20% which in turn shrinks the hitboxes by 20% and the mech would do much better.

Also both the Nova and the Summoner really need some hard points added. For the Nova, I can't help feel adding a couple SRM6s at the expense of 4 or so ER MLs wouldn't make a hell of alot of difference. Same for the Summoner. I would kill for just 2 Energy hard points in the left or right torso. Oh and let me add the adder in here as well. Make a set of arms with 2 Energy Hardpoints each.

I was expecting a big jumpjet buff. The speed is thoughtful, but honestly could use better agility like +25% turn rate to out preform madcats in close.

The single energy or ballistic arms to have like +20% ppc speed or -20% LB10-X cooldown.

But it is just the first pass.
