They're usable but not really suitable as they're sub standard builds in most cases and don't include modules or consumables either. Can anyone stop you from dropping in them ... no.
You can see the griefing coming from miles away.

If one unit will grief to its teammate for using trial mech for untill it gets something better well screw that unit.
EDIT: Now when I think thats not Unit that bunch of random pugs under same tag.

Only people in a group according to one of the posts will be people inside your own unit, rest will be random solo players queing for the CW queue (or other groups from single units?). I see the attraction from a solo players perspective as you can use anything but will they have the experience to dig deep and raise their game when they come up against a large dedicated group? Some absolutely will but others will get incredibly discouraged when they just get volleyed every time they drop as they won't have that common bond/tactics from shared comms.

While we do argue in the General Forums about helping players get their 4 Mastered/Moduled mechs sooner than later for CW, the rewards from Loyalty are really good (Mech Bays and MC) so I wouldn't hold off joining just because I don't have full modules and mastered mechs.
The rewards will be implemented early next year - https://static.mwome...ks_Rewards2.pdf

I expect for starters there will be a lot of solo players filling in CW teams. It's just something groups will need to adapt to. As a player I'd suggest just shadowing a group member in the same weight class as your current mech who is on comms.

A good pilot will make you pay for thinking a trail mech is garbage

I refuse to sell my dire because it takes so long to get the money to buy it. so its either I get one trial mech for IS, or three trial mechs for clan.
From what I read on the forums, it sounded like CW was going to be postponed indefinitely. I didn't really plan for it.
Thank you for your replies. Good job being you everyone! Keep up the good work! :-)

Play around with options in CW with trials! Lots of options here and likely a lot of us might end up using one or two to fill in a role.
