With this initial taste of CW we have found that group coordination from small to large needs to be improved, even if simply by notifying the rest of the faction what planets we are targetting/defending at the moment. A centralized voice server would be nice as well, and we do offer our dropships on ngng for group play.

Let's use this thread at a minimum to announce when our units are grouped and ready as well as to choose targets.

I got one drop earlier in a turtle bay assault with several -SC-. Wasn't planned but was a good hard fight and a narrow loss.

Agreed.

Managed to drop into 9 matches tonight as a Solo, won 5 / lost 4.

Three of the losses were Attacks on Turtle Bay with predominately other Solo Smoke Jaguars. We fought hard but even when I queried about TeamSpeak servers, not a single group or Solo offered up a particular NGNG or COMSTAR or Unit TeamSpeak server/Dropship.

Two of those losses could have been salvaged if we could have got 8+ on TeamSpeak together.

On a brighter note, thanks to my Phoenix Program 6k and my 9k Loyalty Points tonight, I am just shy of Level 5.



I also would like to add that "Joint" connotes 12-man, smaller group and Solo "Smoke Jaguar" gamers.

I highly recommend that we as Clan Smoke Jaquar start developing the concept of "Joint Combined Operations." The "Combined" portions connotes Daggar Star and straight up Mercenaries and Lone Wolves who for a time will take 7-day or more contracts in service to our Clan. Additionally other Clans that join in a common defense of our worlds should fall under the "Combined" portion of "Joint Combined Operations."

- TeamSpeak servers
- Unit Commander TeamSpeak coordination meetings.
- Small Unit - TeamSpeak Meet and Greets.
- 12-man-Sponsored Private Match Practices to pass off Lessons Learned

All these can follow from you "Joint Operations" idea here...

(Being a military retiree, I couldn't help but take the "Joint Combined" concept as a direct lift from modern military doctrine where "Joint" refers to a Country's Branches of Service - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines; and "Combined" refers to two or more Country's commingling their individual Armed Forces for the purposes of a common goal or mission. Breaking it out as Smoke Jaguar = "Joint" and then Other-Support-to-Smoke-Jaguar = "Combined" is just an MWO specific extrapolation of military doctrine.)

been in the Turtle Bay queue for 10-minutes myself and no luck thus far... been trying to catch any Attack or Defense for an hour now... and not a match in sight.

It doesn't matter which ts just as long as we are coordinating. Most of the active units are on ngng or comstar na. I'm currently idling in CPC on comstar as well as our own room on ngng, so friend me and if you see me online give me a poke. For now off to work. Happy Hunting!

CPC was up and active last night, AEDT, 8 wins 1 loss.

we had several joint operations with SJR and we jumped over to there TS server being the smaller of the 2 groups.

CPC where always recruiting mature fun people for a casual competative group. based on East coast Australia but anyone who plays in our primary times of play is welcome to join and where happy to work on joint ops with all other CSJ units and merc on CSJ contracts.

If you ever looking for us where on the NA Comstar rooms, right at the bottom is the international rooms and where the unit 1 above that so pretty easy top find.

We have a TS server that host rooms for all the clans and even other groups and we often hold other events here. (CNCI, Stock Mech Mondays, etc.) So it could be fruitful for you to send some people into our TS even for recruitment purposes. We have been dropping with plenty of Lone Wolves and Lone Jaguars since CW has started. Some looking for CSJ groups some just looking to play with anyone.

But the offer is open to all stop by say hello and all that. We also have been synch dropping with great success, it works pretty regularly.

1.) We can coordinate sync drops if you don't have a 12 man at the time.
2.) We can bookmark each others TS servers and run tabbed TS with mics muted... that way we can hear the other units coms. It beats typing.
3.) We can coordinate our attacks and planet defenses around the attack and cease fire stages.

Let get all the TS address' posted here then OR make a thread and see if we can get it pinned with TS and Coordination info.

Things we will need....

-TS address and Passwords (if any)
-Regular Point of Contact for each Unit (PoC) and Alt if the Unit leader or PoC is not around but still lots of players
-A way to corral the Lone Wolves and Lone Jaguars, weather its a forum post where they come hit us up or just a pinned thread or one we keep up top and keep the latest *News From the Front* there and keep them informed.
-Will also need to know TimeZones this way we can figure out who is playing when and keep our fronts covered around the clock if possible.

I know we have our (SA) majority as NA guys and I know for a fact we have a Russian Unit which more then likely would play opposite the NA guys. So that cover a pretty big window. See if we can get the missing spots and holes locked down!

A thread with 2 tables we keep up to date

1) Unit info

Just a basic listing which includes


something that is easy to keep up to date and give very basic info for the unit. Also gives us a rough idea of our organized population.

Or we could just make 1 massive unit and have subdivisions. That way you see immediately who's online and where to go.
