So in summary...

Purple bird doing virtually nothing.
Blue fist losing land to green bird and red wolf.
Red dragon getting outright farmed by yellow sword and clan plush puma.
Space vikings suffering heavily under the 8 armed bear and plush puma.
Space China on the verge of collapse.

This obviously proves that clan and IS are at parity. I'm certain of it.

It's all going to get reset once beta ends anyway so screw it. I wonder if ghost bear absorbing rasalhague will let rasalhague players play with ghost bears as a sort of mixed house/clan unit.

This obviously proves that the Clans are more committed into taking territory from IS than IS is committed to holding or taking territory from them. The map proves nothing else.

Unless you are trying to cleverly and tastefully imply that Clans are overpowered. Sadly, that would also imply that one wins at backgammon/checkers/chess/CounterStrike/EVEOnline/WoW, whatever game, only because their pieces are overpowered.

What it proves is that Kurita/Steiner/Rasalhague never counterattack, so the clans are never in a position to lose their holdings.

When you're attacking a planet, your options are 0 or +1 for the day. When you're defending, they're 0 or -1.

they can but that would imply counterattacking i.e attacking against a Clan defense. Which is harder in the first place

They can, its just that i have yet to see any IS group actually get a Planet above 50% and when they do they often leave thinking it will just magically go unnoticed and they will get it. When you leave it takes only a few ghost drops to get it back down and about 1/3rd of the time. I really ONLY ever get ghost drops when I am defending because the Attackers straight up left the queue.

The only factions that CAN'T recapture planets from the clans are Davion, Marik and Liao. The factions that have the ability to counterattack simply choose not to.

It's not a game balance issue. It's a tactical issue.

That's a very nice explanation of why the map looks like this. It is no proof of Clans being stronger or having better mechs though. It just proves that... IS can't be bothered to retake their planets ? It certainly can't be that they don't want to play "attacker", because you know, once you gain a tile, you have as much chance defending as attacking another tile. So... only logical explanation is that they can't be bothered, apparently.

Basically, what he's saying is that EVERY Marik, Liao and Davion pilot can go up and flood the defense queues (because only the factions that border the Clans can attack), our only option, at best, is to hold the Clan advance.

If Steiner, FRR and Kurita don't attack, it's a wasted effort on everyone's part.
