The easiest way to get your drops in for this Challenge is to be in a 12 man group. If you are Lone Wolfing it or looking for a Merc Corp there are plenty recruiting.

Sorry, but running at roughly 1 CW match per hour isn't conducive to making anyone want to play if they can't run around in a 12 man - seriously needs sorting guys!

The reason this challenge irks me the most is that it is preventing people from playing valid srats for CW. It promotes peek and poke type play.

I'll disagree on that one. Getting 80 points in a CW match is easy, in fact out of the 21 matches I've played over the weekend I have only had one match with a too low score and that was when we failed to get an enemy team to fight us. One match I got 85 and that was a clan stomp where they rushed us on the second wave on the sulphur map and got our cannon. Sure, I got some 300+ point matches as well but still, I'm not a fantastic player at this game.

The whales are happy in their 12 man groups and clanmechs, defending most of the time against slow or XL IS mechs. At least the guys with the most money are happy, so PGI is happy, too.

Every new challange makes me want to play the game less and less. There is no way I will farm 10 games with those waiting times and playing almost always against 12 man drops with randoms and what feels always attacking (I got defense whole two times).

A pattern emerges, less MC/mechslots every challange, only doable painless in 12 man groups.

14 points to go, real questions if i'll be able to get enough matches in. Moving forward I guess I'll treat Invasion like group queue, play it if/when challenges on otherwise pug town, at least until the wait time drops or we get more info about wait/busy planets.

Sadly haven't been able to join in this event, I've spent hours searching for a match on various planets and haven't played a single CW game since launch.
I love the CW idea and it looks great on NGNG streams but it would be nice to have a little more time to try participate and make the first tier score.

If people have hints/tips on speeding up the chance of drop please let me know.

use the CW forum thread to see where people are dropping. not all planets have fights

Also, I'd rather not have such a challenge where it gives people incentive to act like d**ba**es sitting at the gate shooting at each other for 30 minutes.

Again its another example of a challenge promoting behavior that runs counter to winning the match, attackers focusing on shooting the enemy because damage is what get you the bulk of your match score win or lose, instead of focusing on turrets and Omega.

I simply won't be able to complete 10 qualifying matches in a weekend, let alone 20. The amount of time spent waiting for games makes it nearly impossible. Ceasefires cut into any available time I'd have otherwise. And if I DO get a match, it's often against no one, and it doesn't qualify against a field of turrets.

The only way you will likely make all 20 is with a 12-man group, dropping into the clan territories boundaries to defend. That, or spend 8 hours a day, Friday Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I suppose I make more c-bill pugging anyway.

Hope they do another challenge like this soon, i think they had the right idea, wrong weekend. I'm sure I'm not the only person who was either busy this weekend, or wasn't ready with their 4-mech dropdeck because they were planning for the 16th.

Not complaining they got CW out early, props to PGI for all their hard work there, just wish they'd have given it a week to settle, to allow players to actually get used to it, get their mechs together, before running an event like this.

As it is, I'm going to try my best mon-tues to get as far as i can, but not having had much time this weekend, and not having all my mechs ready, well, I think PGI caught me with my pants down on this one. Ah well, here's hoping the xmas event makes up for the poor timing choice of this one.

Good event! I enjoyed the chance to try out the Community Warfare Beta. The extra cbills were a little comfort for the long wait times.

I will continue launching old public matches after the event, but Community Warfare could easily become my favorite game type in the future.

To me this was a very grindy challenge because waiting for a match takes so long. It took 3 nights to get 27 matches necessary to get the 20 points. That being said, the only matches that didn't qualify were the 7 matches that no enemy showed up. 1 out of 3 matches enemy noshows and long wait times. Overall clan wars needs to step it up. Thanks for the cbills though...

It was a really bad idea to run this event when the CW queues haven't been fixed.

This event should really be suspended and re-run after CW is working correctly.
