I tried so hard to get five, couldn't make it. Between the 4-5 matches where no team shows up (10 point match score), and the absurdly long wait-times (40+ minutes even in a 12 man group in some instances), I simply couldn't get there. :'(

be skeptical, if you were in that match you saw my complaints as they were happening and you saw my mech stop moving, my last 2 drops I never fired dude....

Hardest part of challenge....getting into a CW game! Whenever I choose attack mode I get an attack game but whenever I select defend I get counter-attack (PGI may class this as "planetary defence" but if you are attacking its an attack mode not a defense). If you get attack games when defending and (presumably) defense games when attack why even give us a choice? Why not just let us select a valid planet and let the game mode be random (since it appears to be anyhow) <- this may actually speed up que times.
Defense games are completely unbalanced! Turrets and dropships are deadly accurate and will go for your weakest mechs weakest spots (one game a dropship head shotted and killed me while taking off and I was on my teams side of the enemy gate). And its impossible to get into a defense game as a defender!
Clan vs IS games are also extremely unbalanced. 12 clanners roll over 12 IS in every game I participated in...so much so that in games where clans were on defense they were camping the attackers dropship site fearlessly. I remember reading that clan vs IS was going to be 10v12 (or 40v48) but in all honesty (and especially if the clans are on defense) 8 clan vs 12 inner sphere would be more of a fair fight (or keep it 10v12 but if clans defend against inner sphere they dont get any turrets). If PGIs current matchmaker cant support making 10v12 games (as many people have said) then use your programmers to write a new matchmaker.
Based on this challenge it would seem PGI feels that the benchmark between a good game and a not good game would be a match score of 80...so if you spend 20+ minutes waiting for a game and finally get one only to find there are no defenders so all you do is destroy a few turrets and blow up the gun and since that fulfills a match's primary objective perfectly that game should be worth a match score of 80 not 10! Sadly these matches happen quite frequently and during a challenge such as this it is extremely frustrating to come out of a game like this with 10 match score, less than 30,000cbills (unless you have premium time active) and 0 loyalty awarded (well OK you still get the 50ish for the contract, but the game mode gives 0 even though the primary objective was completed)
In spite of all this I am enjoying community warfare but I really wish PGI would have taken the extra few days to refine things a little (ok a lot) more before releasing it or giving us a related challenge on the first weekend.

Could you please extend the deadline of the challenge, I have been trying for hours to get a match against actual opponents, with little luck.

Same here, one left from 20 but I´m waiting...........................................................................but there is no match.

A fun and doable challenge for once.. atleast on paper.

Unfortunately the reality of this current CW is that you'll wait for a match anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour and then you might up getting in to a match where there are no opponents. Feels kind of like gambling.

But other than that great challenge since you can get the points from losses if you are active in the battles.

I don't know if someone wrote this tip down in the past (i was to lazy to read the whole tread). I mentored (or it might be an accident) that the Matchmacking works mutch more faster if u are inteam. Cause yesterday my Girlfried tried to find a an attacker Team alone an she waits over 20 min. Afterwards we created a two men Team (better one female one man:P) and we joined within 4 minutes. so as a best practice -> until the issue is solved

Unless you can confirm it by repeating it two more times, I do believe it was just luck.. you just selected the right planet, at the right time...

I've somehow managed to play 21 matches. I qualified in every match... except the 4 where we dropped against an empty enemy squad.

Now I'm stuck at 17 and have been stuck sitting in various queues since 1am EST..

I can't sit in a queue for more than 20 minutes, I just can't.

I think the quirks have done a nice job of balancing IS vs Clan mechs. As long as you are on a competent team, you should do alright. 1stRDR has beaten clanners many times..

I wouldn't say ''easy..'' if you're team is TOO good you may win the match before farming enough damage points to secure 80 match score. On the other spectrum, if you're team sux, it's far from easy to secure 80 points. It's doable but not easy.

During the Waiting Times.. you have far enough time, to think about that WHEN.. Right?

We KNOW it's beta.. but why run a challenge during this difficult time with all these problems? It only creates aggravation and ill-will. At the very least they should extend the challenge period by 2-3 days.

I'll say!!! Waited off on and on and that stupid broccoli planet till 2am last night and called it quits when I woke up after the last attempt of waiting. Woke up in my chair, almost 10 minutes on the timer and said forget it! I tried several planets last night and got one match in the span of about an hour and a half.....

These waits are getting ridiculous. I'm one match away from 10 points in this challenge, and can't get a match. I click on whatever pops up needing attack or defense, and then wait, and wait, and wait. I'll wait over 30 minutes and then go back to the lobby. Been doing that for almost three hours, and only got one match in......sadness

I'm finding relative success in cancelling the search and trying another once search time hits 5 minute mark. I waste less time this way overall than waiting 30 minutes for one search.
