TCAF are terribad, unfortunately. But it's not like the average skill level of Davionist units is off the charts either. We all have our ponderous chain to bear, but that doesnt change the fact that good units can and are rolling off streaks of victories, only to see the counter keep ticking in the enemy's favor. When it's 60+ vs. ~35, the numbers speak for themselves.

I believe some of the TCAF are pretty good but I suppose they will have their own style of play that doesn't seem to be working for them as yet. As for the numbers, I'm guessing it comes down to the time of day, certainly if I take a look at the Faction tab and see an attackable planet with no defenders, I am not going to sit twiddling my thumbs for 30 minutes just so Davion can get 1 more mark on the conquest bar. I am here to play the game for the sake of playing the game, whether its helping a random group in the solo queue or helping my fellow Legionnaires in a group drop. One thing is for sure, I would rather be playing a hard fought battle against a real live opponent, win or lose, than getting an easy mode win.

Effective response? Really? You're dropping 40 vs. 19 in some cases, really most, And we're making excuses while you ghost drop. Really. I think we need to go over what "full of excuses" means, FedRat. Go kill some more turrets, honorless wretch.

**RP ON**

Slink back to your Co-ordinator and tell her Hanse Davion has set out to finish what he started in 3028, the Federated Suns will repay Maximilians heir for the dishonour he dealt our First Prince. We will show you the depth of our honour when the Davion flag flies over ALL of your worlds.

**RP OFF**

I do not intentionally drop against incontestable planets, as I said above. The VAST majority of the Legion would prefer to fight a good battle and I doubt if many of them would intentionally look for under-defended planets for the sake of e-peening. I am certainly not the best player in the game, hell I would rate myself below average, so the only way I am going to get better is to actually play against other people.

I will grant you the numbers are definitely against Houses Liao, Marik and to a lesser extent Kurita. I suppose as CW rolls on through Beta, more Davion units will probably gravitate towards the Clan border defence. The problem there is that it offers less in rewards for LP from what I can gather.

Aye I agree that sucks, I wonder if it was intentional or a case of the solo's looking to get in on the action too. Hopefully PGi will make the composition of the numbers visible.

Great role-playing! You perfectly showed the FedRat public education system at its best. Coordinator is for the Snakes, we have Her Celestial Wisdom, Chancellor Romano Liao.

I think a lot of the tactics will change when/if PGO gives us more maps, objectives, etc. Let's be happy it only took them three years to give us two maps and an ever-evolving capture point system.

You know what happens when the queue gets stacked like that?

Attackers wait for 20-30 minutes, then get a real match... because matchmaker will only hold one attacking group in queue at a time. That means that when you see 60 on one side and 34 on the other, you've got 24 from each side fighting, 12 on the attacking side locked into a match waiting for opponents, and 24+ on the attacking side watching the clock count UP with a lobby full of "PILOT RECEIVING ORDERS."

Facts are a bit awkward, huh?

Agreed, its all fun and games until PGI thinks its polished enough. Eventually, the ghost dropping will be just as much of a thing of the past as the straight Omega rush is now.

All roleplay aside, I respect anyone who avoids completely undefended attacks. There's no sport in it. I really have a distaste for people who strive to remove the chance of loss, and need for skill from their games.

3 screenshots where the biggest group you faced was a 6-man of a unit not affiliated with the Davion command structure... and even then you barely won the attack on the map that's stacked in the attacker's favor.

And yet, even TWO POSTS after I linked to Russ's tweet about ghost drops not deciding planets, you STILL try to use it as an excuse!

I'll give it to the organized units of House Liao. The ones I've faced 12-mans of (WoL and HLGK) were quite capable. I've won some and I've lost some against both of them... but on average, Davion players are winning more than they're losing... and they're waiting in the queue for upwards of 20 minutes for the chance to do it... because Matchmaker doesn't launch ghost drops unless the defenders don't even bother to show up.

Ok.. Was in a 2 man unit myself... Liao adapts and make do with their numbers. ;)
So you are saying its easier to attack than defend.. Ok ! Sign off to sleep 5am here !

Sulfurous is easier to attack. Boreal is easier to defend.

Your screenshots are from two Sulfurous attacks and one Boreal defense.

Merry christmas StillRadioactive. It's the time of miracles... So despite winning every drop there is (except for one) last night, miracle says you lose planets. Ghost Drop wins aren't possible says the most trustworthy person in the history of game development. So clearly, it must have been a miracle. Would you please stick to ur davion forums? Kkthxbye.
Actually I'm just unhappy i never met you on the battlefield yet. White Knight in shiny armor, prolly not able to miss.

If ~MS~ decides to attack Liao planets again, I will make sure to post screenshots of our victories over the groups in question so there can be no doubt the number of losses they are suffering. Turret wins indeed. How is it every faction we attack tells us that none of their units are suffering losses?

Oh Ax2Grind, I even admitted a loss. And it even was against an 11 man of -MS-. There has been already 3 losses in total for GS against -MS-. Didn't beat them a single time unfortunately. Tough cookies. :/

For the next week or so, SJR will be fighting for Liao. If you want to coordinate any attacks with us, I linger on ts3.sjrgaming.com most of the day. Also, I am on the 4TCR ts server.

Omg it's the first time I've been in a screen cap! Is this how it feels to be famous? :0

Jokes aside, loved that rag tag force we whipped up earlier during the day Shin, it's nice to drop with LIAO, 4TCR and any other guys that join into a common TS channel (speaking of which it would be awesome to have a single Cappellan TS server where ppl who drop on their own can join up with others. I've heard about it being discussed but idk what happened to it...)

Hopefully the same could be repeated tomorrow, assuming Christmas will not take away most of your free time...Although perfectly understandable if it does :3

Nice dropping with you too man !

Unfortunately I would need for sleep for work the next day of Friday. (Those damn time zones! :P )
Hopefully Liao numbers will slowly grow so, we could mount a proper defence round the clock in future.

Meanwhile the Davions can be proud of the their turret infested victories.

Grow up kid. The only part of that post that could have been seen as trollish was the RP, which admittedly was done poorly :(

Anyway, have a Merry Christmas and I'll (hopefully) see some of you on the battlefield over the holidays. <o
