The implications of these kind of racist comments is concerning to me, largely to be expected only from immature louts. Not someone whose name is supposed to be synonymous with an order of Chivalry and potentially dissrespecting any presumed associations to the British community?

Speaking honestly Antonius, the only reason why that was done was due to Hann Solo and Hbizzles threads regarding us. Anything that occured prior to September, I do not know about. Many of our players come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. If you think we're anti semites, I think that's a stretch. Both sides put fuel on the fire, best to let it go and move on. The new team that a few of us formed has put the trolling on the back burner in the hopes of future tournaments.

I am however having trouble seeing the connection between a random post on a completely unrelated reddit post, made over a month ago, and the fairly recent multitude of posts from both Lord and now ex-Lord members depicting the uber-douche with nazii and CJF symbolism mixed together.

It is true, I definitely do not think all Lord and Ex-Lord members are anti Semites. In fact the small few I have played with personally seem to be rather nice folk. At least on their own. It seems that it is as a group that the biggest concerns arise. But hopefully you can see my concern when members of either unit post things like that as a "jest." At best, it is extremely insensitive. At worst, it could be construed as anti-semitism and racism.

The posts that I am referring too had nothing to do with the month old reddit posts. As far as I can tell, all they were doing was essentially "trolling" other people/units/entire factions on the MWO forums. In a most extreme, and insensitive manner. But perhaps I am missing something.

Looking back at the reddit post that Adi is referring too, I do not see the correlation between that comment and certain members posting the previously mentioned garbage. As far as I can tell, the point Hann was trying to make was that by joining an organization that is reviled by the community for their crappy behaviour, poor sportsmanship, and unceasing and for the most part, unwarranted trolling, it is to be expected than anyone in that unit would perhaps get "labelled" with the same persona. Regardless of their individual actions.

This, in itself is unfortunate, and possibly unfair. But alas, that is often the way the world works.

Why may I ask, were posts like that condoned, or even considered appropriate by those in charge of the Lords at the time?
(I realize that with so many people having left lords you can likely only speak for those that left, specifically the newly formed EmP unit)

On a side note, this is great to hear. You guys are certainly a big presence on the battlefield, both in the CW/regular ques, and in competitive play. It is exciting to hear that you guys are working to improve the rather tarnished image some members have earned for both units. Looking forward to EmP's comp play debut, as I am sure you guys will broadcast it for the community to watch?

Again both sides can make points for the bad history between the teams. I personally have been egged on by several of your teammates, but focusing on these past issues isn't going to be constructive to anything in the future. Things were said, what's done is done. My earlier post was making the point that as a team, EmP's focus is on competitive gameplay, not trolling.

As far as team dynamics, all the specifics are being handled post new years. We're a group of close friends, small and tight knit, which is what we enjoy.

Firstly i don't think you understand how Lords works if your looking for perspective of "Leadership" your going to wait a long time to find it.

Secondly you need to put your sword and shield down and forget your crusade, if your going to jump on the Lords are racist bandwagon (albeit late) it's going to work no better than the first attempt.
Like just about every unit out there it's a mixed bag from across the globe there is no racist agenda.
But it's the internet there are various personalities out there with varied standards of humor, values, psyche's and you gravitate towards where you fit.
Some found the pictures funny, some did not and began to throw around the "racism" card that's the media buzz these days everyone who walks close to that imaginary line is automatically a racist.

Some of people who posted said pictures are no longer with Lords and i personally will be looking forward to seeing EmP compete.

Jade Falcon were Battletechs equivalent Space {Godwin's Law} btw....and i suppose everyone who ever in the history of the internet linked that {Godwin's Law} meme video was racist too.

From what I remember of the "Lords Hate Thread" which now has been deleted, Pictures of the former german "third Reich"- Fuhrer have been posted in response to claims that House Of Lords would be all be racists, starting and ending their games with racist remarks - aside from "GG CLOSE", by the same guy who afterwards pretty much said that East-Germans were low-lifes compared to West-Germans. Personally, I've had a good laugh reading through all that stuff. Ultimately, what do you expect form teh internetz?

At this point, I would also like to have PGI censor all clan-talk. Discriminating people for their virtual-internetz-heritage is not every nice. Especially since the beginning of Community Warfare there are more and more clanners, who have been calling me "Freebirth". For clans, the political correct expression should be "Freeborn". Personally, I do prefer "Naturally Born".

Clanners are all racists. Probably of East-German origin.

The way you phrase the question Antonius suggests you already know the answer and are just looking to see if you can shame a member of Lords....doesn't that kind of make you what you and a large majority of the community has been mad at the Lords for? I guess it's all right though since they did it first right?

Dang it, this thread went off topic. I want... no, I need to know what Wolf's response is to Ghost Bear's declaration of creating a new attack lane. Will the Bears be able to find new salmon in the Jade Falcon's territory, or will they need to bring to bear their full military might against the Wolves and create one without their permission?

Cause, at 10am Eastern time, the Ghost Bears have the FRR Potatoe planet at full conquest and the Kurita planet is quickly following suit. At this rate, by lunch time, we'll be looking for more tasty worlds to munch on.

Lords would gladly scrim SwK. We can set something up if you wish. You seem a bit confused as to your standing on the competitive ladder; we'll gladly reteach you ; ) For your information, of the 1st Engagement Tournament (or main comp) roster, only 3/15 parted ways. The rest never played for us competitively, aside from a rare drop. The thing about House of Lords you need to understand is that we're built on quality. Heimdelight and Celyth are two of the best players in the game, yes. However, there's already replacements of equal ability to take their place.

Instead of House of Lords and Clan Jade Falcon, you should be concerned that the recent split has created another unit, EmP, that will trouble SwK. If you doubt this, accept a scrim. Lords v SwK and EmP v SwK.

From my perspective maybe not "intentionally" being racist. But I would guess from the need to triviliase the material the "humour" used demonstates a niave and immature group. It is the kind of thing that teenagers would say to try and get attention and "look cool".

As a result this kind of folly or clowning around only helps to propogate prejudice and devalue the material being discussed due to the ignorance and lack of consderation shown, this even with filters in place by the "adults".

In essence it is the Lords' values that are thrown in to question since they do not respect the topic material or the people effected by it as a result nor do they then demonstrate any responsibility for the actions taken, if anything appearing not to care and are quite nonchalant about it by being more dissmissive or "in denial" about their actions.

This whilst remembering that it isnt really in the context of "big stompy robots" and just thrown in as a kind of attention seeking since they can't relate in a more effective way.

This topic has really gotten off topic. I mean.............wow. First of all, you guys do realize this is a trial run right? Everything gets wiped in March & CW gets officially launched. The battles that took place or are taking place will not matter then. The relationships between the individual units however is a different matter. I was very surprised that we had mercs working for us. For the record, the Clans do not employ mercs. On the contrary, it was Clan Ghost Bear that officially declared mercenary units dezgra & set up standing orders stating there would be no zellbrigen or batchalls issued to mercs. I do not mean this as an insult to the mercs fighting for us, just saying that I am surprised.

Additionally Jade Falcon, Wolf, Ghost Bear & Smoke Jaguar share attack corridors. The Jaguars fight the DC, the Bears fight the DC + FRR, the Wolves fight the FRR+FC & the Falcons fight the FC. This was why Wolf & Ghost Bear had to bid to conquer Rasalhague. Taking this into consideration, I think we should have a mature, thoughtful discussion on how we coordinate these attacks leading to Terra. We must now also consider the facts of MWO provided by PGI. This will NOT be handled as stated in the lore seeing as we are going to write our own history & forge our own destiny. We see that the CC & the FWL are active participants in CW which did not happen in the lore.

I would suggest that instead of this ankle biting, name calling, petty bickering & focus shifting posts we attempt to organize for March. Seeing as there is no ilKhan to coordinate our efforts, this will be doubly important. For example, will we, as is the case in the lore, set up attacks in waves? Will the waves be weekly, fortnightly or monthly? Can we have agreements between Clans for how fights actually take place? e.g. instead of just zerg rushing the base, knocking out 3 mini generators then firing on the main one for the orbital cannon, Clan warriors go to toe with each other away from turrets & dropship fire, then if say the attackers are victorious they will be then left to navigate the turrets in whatever mechs are left in each warrior's drop deck?

I am just spitballing here, but CW is what I have been waiting for since MW3 & right now looking at this thread, as well as some others, we have pilots who are not in leadership positions, taking pot shots at members of different units, accusations are made, insults are hurled, then a unit leader comes on, says X member does not speak for all of us, which then digresses into something else, rinse & repeat? Seriously? Can we focus on the worlds previously inaccessible to us in the lore (FWL & CC), to see how best we can use those fronts to get us to Terra? Because I think if this keeps up when March rolls around & trust me it will be here before we can blink twice, because January is only a few days away, we will look like we do not know our asses from our elbows.

My suggestions:

Wolves get your **** together; you guys have fractured so much it is ridiculous. Jaguars, you have the smallest touman this is true but there are Clans playing in CW that are not in the Big Four, you can offer them contracts to fight with you while retaining their identity. I saw Goliath Scorpions, Snow Ravens & Hell's Horses running around here; talk to them. Stop being xenophobes. You do not have to be the ******* like in the lore. Jade Falcons, you guys are basically the goons of the Clans. Can you attempt to converse with your trothlkin to work something out? You guys can troll me all you want now if you like or take what I am saying to heart & build on it. The choice is yours.
