wow sounds like u never had to play against an organiced clan drop urslef

I have played against both organized clan and IS units. The people that seem be complaining the most about op mechs are the ones who have not taken the time to learn their mechs strengths and weaknesses. They go up against an IS mech and its OP, they go up against a clan mech and its OP. Every mech whether it be IS or Clan has its strengths and weaknesses. learning them allows the individual pilot to over come their opposition. This is something that organized units IS or Clan teach their recruits, and practice in game.

Anytime I hear someone call a mech OP because they are losing to them, I immediately doubt their credibility.

A mech is truly OP when high level players feel guilty using them because they are so much stronger than other available options.

So much anecdotal data to try and proclaim balance. I swear some of you people must think investing in lottery tickets is a good retirement plan.

The general consensus among the comp units is that Invasion is rather simplistic and easy at the moment.

Well, there are only a few comp groups in each faction, and they don't get to face each other too much. PGI needs to implement some kind of incentive for them to target each other.

Plus we need more groups who want to be competitive. But there needs to be increased rewards and incentives to attract them, or convert the more casual groups.

It really boils down to the fact that people are going to play to win or not so the number of not play to win people in any given faction or power will gimp it. The clan mechs are new and very pricy to get with cbills. It takes a casual along time to grind cbills and master a mech. It is very hard to judge which side is op based on purely win.loss raitios when it is faction warfare and unit skill is the most important factor and hard to judge it in pub que when the win or loss is almost entirely elo related.

That was exactly what I was saying, but just like some people have a hard time reading more than 1 level deep the win ratio is the most prevalent factor that will probably be used even with the drawbacks.
