Pugs simply dont belong in community warfare unless you are team oriented.

Ghost drops are only about 12% of matches

Impossible. Ask a bunch of people who say they are the clear deciding factor all the time when they lose.

I know they are rare; most of them are on largely undisputed borders like Kurita/Steiner and Kurita/Davion. Sometimes they are on hugely busy fronts like FRR/Wolf, stuffed with pugs.

They are a tiny, tiny fraction of most the major conflicted world drops and wins though.

Same BnBs still trying to talk it up.
First few days of CW i made several posts about how the Pub group Q, was real good, short wait times, good matches, lots small groups, very enjoyable, well over the last 2-3 days its changing quickly, last few days we are seeing many more larger groups back in the Pub Q, 5,6,8 and even 10 man groups, the ggclose comments are back, the legging, the 3 crab groups.
Now i have taken to asking, why these people are back in the Easy mode Qs, the answers were, To long waiting in Qs, Undefended matches, didnt enjoys stomps from Large groups, they were most common answers, plus other reasons some unprintable. Seems there is a swing back to the Pub Q, IMO big time swing.
Now i know the BnBs will say BS, but ohh well, the only people that know the truth is the Devs, im sure numbers they are getting will be telling them the true story.

Look at the slow progression of Clans. A lot of comp groups went Clans and likely expected to grind wins and worlds. Flat out hasn't played out that way. Also the payout on CW is, overall for the time, inferior to group/pug queue. Especially with the bump in LP required those nice rewards is into the 2,000 matches range for level 20 (if not more than) and so looking at the next 12 months grinding the same faction for perpetually diminishing rewards there probably are some folks coming back to the pug/group queue. Also the contest is likely pulling some folks back.

separate queue for solo/small groups would fix this.

I'm in a unit, and have been for year. And I agree with op, not impressed. It's so boring that I don't even play it, whoopie, stand here and watch some gates. or, funnel through two choke points, so much "tactics". Yeah, right.
on top of that you have to sit around and wait six hours just to find a match. The regular que is much more fun, and actually gives you freedom to move around the map and actually use "tactics". Albiet all of pgi's maps are designed to force you into a certian areas, in the name of "balance".

Can we maybe have a module created for the forum that somehow parses the thready and instantly "mutes" someone for , like, 2 weeks every time they start an "LRMs are OP" or "CE sucks becasue I get stomped as a solo PUG" thread?

Because these people aren`t usually interested in rational discussion, just in getting the game made even more stupidly easy because they refuse to use something other than a steering wheel to play it.

It`s just tiring to read thread after thread after thread of utter juvenile stupidity day in and day out....
"Here are my problems"
"Well, here`s a solution", "Here`s another", "and you can try this, too", "Oh, and this", ..
"THOOSE AREN`T SOLUTIONS!!!"
"Yes, tehy are", "Yup", "Mhmmmm",...
"No they`re not, everyone that disagrees with me is (X), WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"

If I wanted to feel like I`m in kindergarten I`d teach kindergarten.

He said team-ORIENTED, sand, not necessarily part of a unit. And I agree.

Stay near the unit, try to coordinate with them if at all possible (to that end, many will offer TS info at match start), shoot what others are shooting, don`t rambo, stay aware and try to support instead of expecting support... . That`s what guys like you and I generally do, that`s definitely team oriented. And that works, as you said, just fine ;)

Based upon my brief observations over the past two days, CW has gotten worse not better. Yes, we can now see how many players are queued for a given planet.

Why are there 60+ people queued up to attack and defend four or five worlds each? This makes the wait time longer, not shorter.

Also, this stupid holiday truce has limited the number of attackers as well. It's a shame that certain unit leaders decided it was better to NOT play CW during the holidays when many of us actually have the time to play.

These are just my opinions - yours may vary.

Most players are not able to play during the holidays do to family or other RL obligations, so a holiday truce makes sence in that no major actions will be taken when most of the players will be away.

There's no module to do it automatically but you can use the ignore feature from your profile to ignore people like that. I use it to ignore folks like Heffay who are endlessly cheerleading with no context, or Mudhut who was apparently molested by a group of players once on TS and has never recovered. These folks are so predictable it's better to simply not even see what they post.

CW is kind of an "advanced" mode. It's premade land. As PUG player i do accept that i may end up against a premade.

Working as intented. PGI said CW was only for units. The Pugs cried. PGI made it open to everyone and told them: It's hardcore. It's intented for coordinated 12 mans. The Pugs cried.

Wth do you want, turn this to Hello Kitty Online?

If you are unable to join a unit and get on a TS and be coordinated, then don't play content that was solely designed for these people!

Edit: Michael Abt has it right: Expect to drop against 12-man groups. It is their territory. The regular queue still exists where people can go dropping with as many randoms as they like.

i think the worst problem in this game about groups is this plain and simple. some people are whiny. some people feel the need to lord over peeps for imaginary skills. yeah big whoop you can move your mouse and aim and click real fast. good job. its attitude that makes you a good gamer. skill in games is really about your brain and using it. alot of you large groups on these forums dont have that all you have is clan advantage and reflexes and drills. (seriously who does drills in a GAME.if you think thats fun join the army.) The only unit i have seen that was honorable and skilled was the 228th. and they are is. All the rest except for one or two members are all reflex and drills. bah what a boring way to spend your time. respect goes a long way to making you a good group...a good player. haven't seen alot of that on the forums and in game.

I read this and I think I found and inherited an extra chromosome. Good god, it's time I write up a new black list of those to ignore starting with you.
