Yet another thread with solo players sobbing because they get beaten. I swear this is like listening to four year olds bickering because they lost at a boardgame. For the record, I am a solo player that loves the challenge of facing organized teams. It doesn't demoralize me, it gets myself thinking harder on each edge I can make for myself. The only thing comparable to the amount of sobbing over 12 man groups, is the sobbing over clan vs IS. BUCK UP CAMPERS! How about instead of boo hoo'ing here on the forums, you use that energy to form a team and organize yourselves? That.. would take work, right?

Is this what CW was all about ? Certainly feels that way . Still it's only redeeming feature is longer battle time and multiple drops ... other than that it is quite boring and gets very old very fast . 2 years and this is what is on offer?

Last I check most 12 mans were too busy slaughtering turrets and actively avoiding fights.

Save us that silly hypocrisy. Hardmode? This thread is about 12 man teams having the easiest time of their life.

You do realize that 12 mans do also fight other 12 mans right? It's not like the game mode is 12 vs pugs only.

Tired of pugging? Join a unit!
Want to keep playing solo? GO PLAY SOLO QUEUE WHERE THERE ARE NO GROUPS.

Why can't people understand that in a TEAM BASED game, communication is vital to your success.

I don't really want voip added to be honest. There's far better things PGI could be working on and I don't want to be forced to listen to 12 year old whine in order to communicate with my team. This isn't x-box live and I like it. If people want to use voip, teamspeak, mumble, etc... all work great and it really isn't that hard to use. It takes about 4 minutes to setup (20 if you actually read the user agreement), and 5 to get your mic settings right and then your good to go.

You do realize that pretty much EVERY online game that has VOIP has mute options right? It would take literally like 2 clicks to mute someone instead of 5 minutes to download a VOIP program and set it up. Voice communication is the most effective way to coordinate, not wanting to use it is shooting yourself in the foot <_<

Mechs in 12 mans die just as easily as they do in Pugs. They have two advantages, they have experience and they have organization. There is only one way to get experience. You can organize yourself silly in the meantime.

Nice to see this Topic again.

May i remind the Group Players at the last Time we had this Disscussion. It was something around 84 % Solodrops. Maybe this Time its a lower Number, but behind the Number lies much Money.

Be sure PGI dont let this Money go away for long.

Then CW is not for you. That's what the solo que is for.

There are plenty of casual units who don't have scheduled practices. When you do want to play, you can at least find people to play with and communicate during your match. It doesn't take any more time commitment than the time you are already spending on playing the game.

If you don't have time to improve in a game, whose fault is it if you get beat by people who do?

If you are attacking and you bring long range mechs, you can just kill the defenders to make it easier to win. You don't really need fast mechs to win as an attacker.

Why do people insist on penalizing cooperation in a multiplayer game?

If we had an in-game VOIP option that would promote teamwork among the PUGs, there wouldn't be a reason to complain about *this*.

I have to admit I agree. The sad thing is you don't get people on ingame voip that are there to coordinate or use teamwork oriented communication. What you do get are a bunch of clowns that use it as a platform to talk smack, use racial slurs, and generally make asses out of themselves. Muting voice chat is the first thing I do for CoD, and judging by the things I often see people typing in this game, I don't expect these players to set the bar much higher.

I'm not sure you understood me. I also encourage people to use voip, however I don't think it should be implemented directly into the game. Third party programs work just fine. It'd be a waste of time for PGI to spend time developing their own voip for the game. Muting is great, but that's sometimes like cutting off your own arm since then some members of your team can't communicate with you (even if they are annoying). Admittedly it wouldn't be as much of a problem when I'm playing with my unit, since only they'd be there, but suppose we drop a 6 man and would like to stategize, but the other pugs prefer to brag about the size of their reproductive organs instead of using Voip for what it should be. Sure we can mute them, but then we have no idea what they're going to do, and whether or not they're going to decide to cooperate.

In any case it would take up time and resources from PGI to spend developing it when they could use it on something else, when 3rd party voip works just fine.

Btw, the attack and defend mode is working better for Pug vs Pug than the deathmatch mode. The latter one is, and has always been, an uncontrolled chaos. Compared, i've seen a lot single players actually giving and following advice!

So don't pretend this isn't a good mode for pugs. The only issue is matchmaking, causing 15 minutes of waiting and then 15 minutes of dying for no good reason.

You're really making a lot of mental gymnastics to avoid the actual issue. It's about larger, experienced premades being constantly set up against pugs.
And here is it again, the hypocrisy i'm talking about:
The point of TEAM BASED games is to play against other TEAMS, so the teamwork is a fight between two equal forces. In this situation, teamwork developes complexity and gets interesting. Planning and adaption becomes an neccessity.

Stomping pugs, whuich have inherently less coordination, is not what teamwork, or Community Warfare, is about. This isn't about PUGS and Premades, both can exist just fine in CW, it's about MATCHMAKING.

This.
Although I feel your pain, Smaller groups have no means of communicating outside of playing musical teamspeak or typing 75wpm.

The problem isn't that fact that the big bad twelve mans are coordinating and stomping.

The problem is when the smaller groups do not.

The problem is that in a game that clearly needs universal integrated voice chat, we have none. The extremely slipshod "integration" with C3 is nowhere near practical.
