Anvil is ugly but potentially mobile, with high hardpoints

Ecm heavies:
Anvil - 60t energy & missiles, jj & high mounts, comes with a 325xl if I recall correctly.
Bandersnatch - 75t mix of everything but has 10 or so HP's, needs made up variant.
Penetrator - 75t energy & missiles, JJ, 325xl, high mounts.
War Dog - 75t ballistic & energy, 300, middlish HP's.
Anvil: first variant only in 3055 - but there are 5 variants with the current tech. And all have only energy hardpoints.
Bandersnatch: no ECM in the near future and only 1 variant in current timeline and tech.
Penetrator: only 1 variant in the timeline. 6M and 6S have current tech, though. But all boring energy boats.
War Dog: only 1 variant in the current timeline/tech.
Honestly? As the game is right now, we don't need any of them. With so many many heavy mechs we got, I think adding one more just for the ECM is not a good idea. I would prefer if they "fixed" the CTF-0XP.
PS: For next Heavies, when they come, I want the Crusader -> Ostroc -> Excalibur. The first is the remaining Macross heavy, the second if a semi-Unseen and the last one has an interesting hardpoint combo.

The Anvil 8M has missiles, which could be replicated with the current tech at least.

I think we're getting the Cyclopse mid-month.
It narrowly lost the Res1 assault poll, we've already gotten the Zeus and Mauler, and it's been confirmed for a while that its concept art's already done. It's been done since it narrowly lost the poll with the Zeus for Res1.
Russ mentioned that they only needed to make a small tweak to art they already had in order to release it.
Who knows what that tweak is, but the Cyclopse has been waiting in the starting blocks for a while. It's an easy production move.
Calling it now: Cyclopse.
Then again, wouldn't be the first time I was wrong either. :/

I think Cyclops as well, any even rumors of other IS art work done? Bushwacker or something?

The Anvil & Penetrator both have missile variants. As for the Bander, Pgi showed with the Kodiak that as long as the base variant is timeline available then the chassis is too.
For the Phract to match up to the Hbr it'd need some heavy quirking, which isn't likely.

I totally agree. This is why I suggest the Dragoon.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Dragoon
Not only has it ECM in all variants, four of them are in timeframe and use existing tech and they are very diverse in hardpoints and different engine ratings:
AEM-01: 1x ERPPC, 2x LB 10-X /// 280XL
AEM-002: 1x ERPPC, 5x ML, 1x SPL, 1x AC/20 /// 350XL
AEM-003: 1x ML, 2x MPL, 2x SPL, 3x LRM-15 Artemis /// 280XL
AEM-004: 1x ERPPC, 1x Gauss, 2x ML, 4x SRM4 /// 280XL
In other words, you get whatever you want: laser vomit, missile-boat, long range sniper, brawler, fast skirmisher. Especially the super fast -001 with the capacity to mount an AC/20 and have lots of energy hardpoints is something we have not yet seen for the IS and may even outshine the Loki.
It is not my number one wish, but "objectively" speaking it has its merits (and, as I said in another thread, it has a very fascinating history with a surprising comeback this year).

Probably the Mauler (was in the assault poll too).

Except the Dragoon is totally extinct. Kerensky exterminated them because they were the pride of Amaris' forces.
The er small weighs the same as the regular so no issue here.

Variants aren't the same as a whole chassis. The Dragoon would be perfect but it doesn't even have a single variant available.
Pgi has mimicked variants, made up variants & I'm pretty sure they've replaced weapons that didn't break the stock build.

On the one hand, MWO is flooded with Mechs which were extinct, exceedingly rare, or not available to any MWO faction, or even invented by PGI. I am fine that. And let us not even start on PUG matches breaking the lore in every possible way. I am ok with that, too.
But an extinct chassis is somehow crossing the line? If the reasoning for including extinct variants is that they add to the game, the very same reasoning can be applied to chassis.

I'd like all the mechs but I think it allows Pgi room to space out which mechs they add. Otherwise people would clamour for all the best ones and Pgi would run out of mechs to sell.

Chances for the Dragoon to feature in any Mechwarrior game are minimal. Even if MWO keeps up for the next 10 years, there are so many chassis out there (that are not completely extinct).
