Well it is a 95 ton assault mech. I always preferred the 3S over 5S, 5S had speed and range but an XL engine and no improvement in armor. The plain old 3E wasn't a bad ride and I also liked the 3M quite a bit.

The Warhammer as you know can't be used in any Mechwarrior video game. The owners of the design are not allowing it.
This is the Warhammer now:
Are you sure you want it in MWO?
I'd like to have the Warhammer in MW:O with this design. I think it looks neat and it reminds me of the "Loki", one of my favourite designs.
€: Or is this the design that is not allowed?

Based on Technical Readout 3050 "revised" because it specifically removes the unseen problem while giving a large berth of mechs (including the coming clan mechs). Again all I am listing are ones not yet announced but available. Also please remember that Sarna does not always get everything correct.
Lights
Hornet
Mercury
Thorn
Mongoose
Falcon
Firefly
Hermes
Hussar
Javelin
Urbanmech
Firestarter
Panther
Wolfhound
Mediums
Assassin
Clint
Hermes II
Sentinel
Vulcan
Whitworth
Hatchetman
Vindicator
Wolf Trap
Wyvern
Crab
Enforcer
Dervish
Hoplite
Kintaro
Heavy
Champion
Grand Dragon
Lancelot
Quickdraw
Axman
Bombardier
Exterminator
Caesar
Grasshopper
Guillotine
Black Knight
Flashman
Assault
Charger
Hatamoto-Chi
Thug
Victor
Zeus
Katana
Shogun
Cyclops
Mauler
Banshee
Annihilator
Imp
King Crab
Remember what is listed here are mechs on the 3050 Technical Readout revised edition and that have not been announced for MechWarrior Online. The unseen have been removed from this list because IGP has shown they want nothing to do with that controversy. That means no Warhammer etc. If you have any questions on the above mechs and the likely hood of seeing them feel free to ask. Odanan and several others are very knowledgable on what we will likely see.
Remember mechs have to have at least 3 variants at the time or by the time they are put into MWO. Aside from that it's a matter of how to translate the old defunct artwork into the newer amazing redesigns by Alex Iglesias. The last choice is by it's battlefield role, what it brings to the table and just what the devs choose to do. The best example is the Highlander.

Rarity isn't the greatest problem of the Thug. It doesn't have variants (and it stinks as a war machine).
The King Crab won't be in the game because you can't fit an AC/20 in his arms! I doubt the devs will change the mechlab just for this mech.
The Mauler doesn't have variants either.
The Victor could be a good ballistics platform, but the Highlander kind of took his place.
The Cyclops, even with some variants too similar with the Atlas, would be a good mech for the game. There is even a variant with two torso Gauss Rifles. But again the Highlander probably blow the chances of this mech.
The Banshee could show up, but with very limited hardpoint configurations.
The Hatamoto-Chi has lots of variants and it is a good candidate.
But the most logical choice is the Zeus.
BTW, I discuss most of these things in the post #1. I'm kind of tired of repeating myself.
Some indeed.
On a Tuesday, but not next Tuesday.
you really gotta learn construction rules in Btech before you post, the jagermech comes with no lower arm actuators so it can mounts ac 20's in the arms. also the blackjack doesnt have lower arm actuator either so it could technicly mount a 10slot balistic. if you dont belive me see the cicada.
thug has 5 variants 3 in this time line the 12k and 13k are later tech.
pgi has been pretty good about releasing all the weight classes and since assault is the only class that can have 5 we can say that the next mech would most likly be a 95 tonner and since the only 95 tonner that features 3025 tech is the banshee its is most likly the next mech.
BUT!!
this all goes on the assumption that they want to cover all the weights.

This is the banned design.

The Champion has (barely) the minimum number of variants. The problem is: it is too similar to the Dragon.

I'm actually expert in BT construction rules (I even did a program for that).
King Crab has lower arm actuator AND hand: try to fit an AC/20 there, as the MWO lab rules are now.
Victor has lower arm actuator: same problem.
Unless PGI just remove this actuators or allow us to break the weapon in two, we can't have these mechs.

Anyways, the Zeus would be the best choce for the next assault mech for MWO (fan favorite, awesome design, very iconic mech and many variants). The Banshee on the other hand has awful variants and is too similar to the Atlas. I would argue it SHOULD NOT be picked solely to fill the tonnage gap at 95 tons.

I don't know... after at the Orion concept art, I think the Zeus might not come, because PGI likes its mechs to be visually unique. MWO's Orion not only plays like the Zeus as it has that same general look (and identical reversed antennas).
I think the chances of the Banshee and the Hatamoto are increasing...

Don't forget Orion was never the most reasonable choice, either, but it got in here because, frankly, people love that design and it's iconic. The saem applies to the Zeus and I think there is a decent chance it will be the next mech.

Orion was always a reasonable choice in role, availability, looks and number of variants (tough not in variation between them). Anyway, about the Zeus, lets see what the future brings...
Zeus, Hatamoto-Chi or Banshee -> I don't care which will be the one. I will be happy anyway.
PS: but I think I slightly prefer the Hatamoto... the HTM-27W is the ballistic plataform the assault class is in need.

The VTR-9B Victor does NOT have a Lower Arm Actuator. It's primary weapon is an AC/20 in the right arm. http://www.solaris7....Info.asp?ID=528 This is TRO information transfered to Solaris 7 by it's manager via Solaris Skunk Works.

That is an excellent question and one I dont honestly have the answer to since I'm not the one designing the and implementing the 'Mechs. With the current system of how things function in game the Yen-Lo-Wang is the closest we have for comparison and we all know it's right arm is restricted to a up/down range of motion.
I would speculate that they would use the most restrictive of the two options for the purpose of game balance. Allowing someone an AC/20 with full arm movement even though that arm does not have the equipment to perform this action would upset a small bit of game balance and some of the playerbase would be in full on nerd rage at the thought. Regardless if this 'Mech and others like it are implemented it is an issue the devs will surely have to address.

2: Plays Beast!
3: Has over 3 Variants!
