It's just a shame the Night Gyr is so critical space starved that it could never effectively run a Nova Cat Prime's configuration.

Maybe 9 extra DHS with 2x ERPPC and 3x ERLLas, putting it to 21 DHS.

Edit: Image from MegaMekLab.

Thanks for the headsup.
21 DHS huh?... so it actually will get 4 Less DHS then nova cat... sigh.

At least I can make psuedo Nova cats or based on it...

ie instead of a trio of large lasers it'll be a trio of UAC 2's. (yes, like the mech assault windigo. No I didn't play MA... just watched some videos and browsed it's wikia. I love all things battletech and I look at all "stock" mechs for inspiration- including apocryphal ones from MW games, MW: LL, or MA/ MC.)

Well, when they're not wind up toys, they can be pretty darn fun. Also, technically I'm Mexican.

The new sourcebook on the First Succession War has arrived. Lots of naval action, but also new artwork of classic Mechs, including some very cool stuff on the Valkyrie and the Wasp.

Yeah, only the loss of the Wolverine handheld gun bothered me, otherwise all looked so amazing :)

(The book is brandnew so I won't post the images here. I recommend to get it anyway).

Apart from the Periphery powers, every Inner Sphere factions 'Mech RATs has Goliaths in the Assault table, and everybody save the FWL has Scorpions in their Medium table.

I like clan mechs but since I'm loyal to Marik I don't think I'll ever get to use them in FW which is basically what I'm not revolving my mech choices around.

It's more that I see one build I like for it...

UAC/10 arms
ASRM4 in each ST
ERML head
ERML CT

Rest of the tonnage goes to ammo.

Beyond that I don't see many build possibilities I like.

OK...was reading the First Succession War source book, and came across this image
Posted Image

And have no clue what mech it is... CGL reseen/NU-seen Tbolt? Something else?

I'd guess it's between 50-65 tons, and appears to be armed with a PPC, LRM10 and a flamer.

Anyone know?

Sure: Von Rohrs (Hebi).
As you guessed, 65tons with 1xPPC, 1xLRM10, 1xflamer.
http://www.sarna.net...28BattleMech%29

A bit strange to see them in the 1st SW, but who knows...

Ah, many thanks. Looking at it I can see the similarities, but a glance.... dang. Also, yeah, 3075 TRO is one of the ones I haven't bothered to get.

but yeah... mech was extinct, as in totally, 300 years before the 1st war. Weird.

Nice piece of art though.
