(thx to Raubwurst & JSS78 for the tweet info)
As I said in another thread, I am just sad because so many, many good alternatives were available.
agreed....
also..... seriously.... cannot believe that 25k people actually thought that bloated cross between a chicken and a toad looked good. (sorry Alex...you rock.... like...98% of the time... but the Marauder and Arctic Cheetah and Wolverine? HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE. )

RFL-IIC and PXH-IIC at least are kind of interesting. And the PXH is such a different beast from the IS version..... especially...I think it's the IIC2? With the 4 LRM racks? Be interesting.
That said.... guess IS don't need any more mechs.

What I found to be interesting was his statement about needing to 'catch up' because of the Alpha Lance/Phoenix Hawk. Some numbers, for those interested:
Since the Resistance II mechs were injected (the last time PGI did a Light-medium-heavy-assault package) the Marauder, Warhammer, Rifleman, Archer, Kodiak, Phoenix Hawk, Viper, Cyclops, Night Gyr, Huntsman, Linebacker, and Marauder IIC have had injection dates scheduled (except Marauder IIC, but probably 20December).
Breakdown (as of Marauder IIC injection): 6 IS (1 medium [45t], 4 heavy [60t, 70t, 70t, 75t], 1 assault [90t]), 6 Clan (2 Omni-Med [40t, 50t], 2 Omni-Heavy [65t, 75t], 2 Battle-Assault [85t, 100t]).
The IS has added 410t of battlemechs to their order of battle.
The Clans have added 415t. 45% of Clan tonnage is in BattleMechs as opposed to OmniMechs.
I suppose I could go further and look at how many variants each get since the Alpha Lance released with 3-variants and a hero, but I think I've gone on long enough.
Wait, one more thing.
Russ has a reputation for really liking light mechs. The last light mech injected was the Wolfhound back in October-2015.
Okay, now I'm done.

I've sadly just never warmed up to the PHX-IIC just because it's so radically different. I figure at that point, just give it a different name? It *is* a pretty interesting mech though and would give some fun loadouts. Same with the RLF-IIC, though I prefer the Glass Spider myself to be honest.
But yeah, it's just the likelihood of going so long without more IS mechs and nothing under 65 tons has me a bit weary.

Good breakdown - it's pretty much even now. But small note, the last light injected was actually the Jenny IIC in December '15.

Knew it was along shot anyhow, but realyl hoped for it, just because it would have been a great scout for Battletech.
Well if we go back to the original Mad & Whammy, The IS & Clans have now gotten a total of 6 mechs each. That for sure puts the IS next in line.

naw they love to go in waves.. we got alpha lance in a block, bet we'll get the other 2 IICs next. If they do go back IS it'll be an Assault or Heavy. Crusader would not be a bad consolation prize, I guess.

Well I really hope it's not another IIC but I suppose I wouldn't be surprised either.
Javelin, Assassin, Crusader or Nightstar... I could go on.

I smell power creep...
One has to compare simply the heavy metal (3 x med laser, 1 x gaus in the arm, 1 x srm, 1x lrm) with the sleipnir (2 x gaus in the torso, 4 x balistic in the torsos... nuff said).
Your thoughts?
Oh sorry, i forgot the jump jets. They save the tier of the highlander

The Mauler power-crept all over the Highlanders already.
I don't think the Cyclops will do anything any better than the Maulers already do (except for looking better, that is)

better sensor range...hopefully faster infor processing.
Is that Meta? Not really, but would be nice. Also be nice if it worked in conjunction with all sensor modules, increasing thei range and viability. Cyclops with Seismic? Extra 100 meter range. Etc

I'd prefer if Seismic didn't even exist, though.
But that goes for all modules/consumables.

I am with you. But i see the future for this "lorewise" second line command mech with his "paper thin armour". They take the computer out and armour up, to spam uac5´s at the frontline .

Well, the paper thin armor is a thing with only some of the variants.
CP-10-Q is quite well protected (it removed the AC20 for an LRM10, medium laser, more ammo and heatsinks and 7 tons of armor)
