I just want a SHC hero with a 1E1M left torso. :\ My wants are simple. Give me the ability to trade stealth for firepower - actual reliable firepower - on the Shadow Cat, as a viable option. 2E arms are entirely optional.

I want the SHC hero to NOT have MASC (which of course will infuriate everyone else! ) and be able to run 4 missile racks...preferably with some energy backups.

Already missed my money on the Nova.... if they had made one with multiple SRM arms?

Sold. Well... OK.... whoredout for art commissions to get money to buy, anyways, lol.

I know your hands don't work well enough to properly use it, but that MASC is partly what saves the Shadow Cat in a knife fight. XD That thing is so trolly. Active use, staggering the bursts, is a great way to infuriate enemies as your velocity and trajectory become extremely difficult to predict. I'd love the idea of slapping 4 ASRM6 and 2 ERSLas on a MASC equipped Shadow Cat. It's most of "Arbitrator's" firepower, except on a faster, more agile, but squishier package. :3

In fact, it actually works with stock armor, too. Looks like it would even work surprisingly well for table top, considering it is at 26/24 heat generated. Meaning you shouldn't alpha, but if you did, you would still sink most of the heat anyways.

yup, kind of sucks to be a starving artist with mostly crippled hands, lol. (have had arthritis in them since at least 19, on top of various job, play and stupidity related breaks, tears, slashings, etc). End result is trouble with keeping my lines neat, low grip endurance... and a complete inability to use MASC, at least for now. Maybe a differnet mouse I could bind it to a better key.

Also wonder if it would work better if I used throttle decay... never have been good at using that in MWO.....which is weird, since every other fps game has it and it should be second nature.

I imagine the lasers would be there mostly for when ammo is low, or you were dealing with a target (IS Infantry) not worthy of wasting SRMs on. And the occasional alpha strike coup de grace. Though in TT I'd probably swap the ERSLs for either 1x ERML or later, 1x iHML.

I'm also a fan of having something for backup scenarios, when ammo goes dry. That said, kicking out one DHS and upgrading those to SPLas would make even more sense for TT. Those would work better against infantry, no? Or, keep the heatsinks, but replace the ERSLas with Flamers. Hell, that would work well in MWO, too.

flamers would actualyl be perfect for MWO Scouting....give the spheroids a case of the burns in return. (would that be to give the spheroids hot plasma hemorrhoids?)

Hey everyone,

First, let me confirm that the lights on the UrbanMech hero will function! Though we are currently deciding on exactly how they will trigger.

Second, we’ve been looking at your feedback on this thread and have decided to make a few adjustments to these hero 'Mechs.

Enforcer:

Daniel Waylen’s Enforcer has two canon loadouts that can be found in Starterbook Sword and Dragon. They’re pretty much the same loadout except that one only included old school tech and an early prototype Gauss Rifle, while the other had more advanced tech including ER Small and Medium Lasers. The original hero loadout was a combination of those two. Unfortunately, the layout of those weapons wasn’t particularly different than on the other Enforcer variants. In the adjusted loadout, we’re still trying to keep it as close to the canon version as possible, but have added in an ECM. Daniel is known to be a crack-shot sniper, so the ECM is meant to compliment his ghillie suit camouflage in giving him some stealthiness from a distance. We’ve also lowered its max engine cap slightly to balance out the inclusion of the ECM.

Black Knight:

This was another canon loadout from Starterbook Sword and Dragon, but this one needed more extensive changes as its default Hatchet and TSM aren’t available in MWO. We originally gave it two missile hardpoints in its Hatchet arm, but there seems to be demand for a ballistic hardpoint. So it’s been adjusted and now has one missile and one ballistic in the arm. We’ve also removed the Lower Arm and Hand Actuators from that arm to open up some space.

King Crab:

The Lower Arm and Hand Actuators have been removed from each arm. It was a mistake that they were there in the first place.

As an added bonus, here is an additional screenshot of the Mauler hero. While the default look is meant to resemble the black and white art from the TROs, the color channels are designed to match the BattleTech toy. So here's the hero with the toy colors assigned to it.

Don't get your hopes up... Honestly, if I could pick any one Clan mech to add, that really does show off new tech for the clans, I'd go with the Mad Cat. Mk. III, 55t of mean... 6/9 FL armour (F-U to LB's), Endo Comp structure.... Besides how is this not adorable... It's a Timber Wolf the size of a Storm Crow...

Because one is efficient, the other is not. As a clanner you should understand efficiency being important. On top of that, it would give an option not name Storm Crow for a 55t mech for Clans (and she is a better mech than the Black Lanner), rather than a third 90t mech for Clans....

I suppose it will always be a thing but never again the entire poptart or go home meta of 2013-2014....at least I hope.

PGI has sort of learned with the right characteristics, jump jet mechs are potentially gods among peasants. Under the strictest sense, FPS+Z axis vs flies stuck on flypaper, the groundpounders are simply doomed....soo jump jets hence forth will almost always be tame, slow, and floaty.
