Just look at the other recently shown mech. Black Lanner. The left torso LRM 10 looks more like an SRM6 + SRM 4 (as you can see an SRM 6 on the right torso)
But i'll say again, i think it's more likely to be a PGI-original than the Crusader.
if there is yet ANOTHER hitbox hanging below the 12 rockets we see? That thing is going to get armed faster than a Mist Lynx.

Eh.... possibly, just because it's such a mess it's hard to say "ANYTHING doesn't fit it's geo. But the rest looks... more IS to me, overall, and we just had Clan Mech, didn't we?
I'd rate it unlikely, but I suppose not impossible. Lol certainly would rate it more likely than a Crusader...

this is what happens when you expect one artist to make 100+ designs in one sitting, on a deadline. I'm surprised that we didn't get more wacky mechs than we did. :/

that becomes obvious even more with the Tanks. But also in fairness... how do you make 30 virtually distinctive tanks? And still have them remotely... militarily correct? Most lay players can't tell most of the modern MBTs used apart. So you have to balance, Rule of Cool, Dynamic appearance, distinctiveness... etc.
It's why it's usually best to use several artists on a project like that, IMO.

Probably an Assault of some kind(unless it's is an extremely slow 55 tonner). The dual-barreled AC could be a 10 or a 20, and the lasers could be any size of laser. All in all, not even close to meta like the Roughneck was.

unlikely to be a single medium or small, though not impossible. Don't forget the other image and all the missile racks. Not worried about "meta" or not.... but not liking that this appears to be yet another made up gundam. *sigh* I hope someone posts an answer I'm missing and I'm wrong.

I don't mind. Honestly, I don't really understand why so many people take issue with the idea of PGI making their own mechs. MW4 did it and no one batted an eye, so why is MWO being given the short end of the stick in that regard?

with dozens of fan favorites still out there? Seems a little premature to start "adding" generic gundams with no history. And had there been forum culture to thsi degree in 2002, you can bet your butt the whining would have gone nuclear.
End of the world? Well, I did champion the Roughneck. I just expect the usual Reddiots to start shaking the pitchforks again.

At least it looks very good. Hopefully it's a 80 or 85 tonner...

with that loadout? I would definitely expect 85 maybe more. Not grabbing me like the Roughneck did, but I'll wait for full visuals to "pass judgement".
I still feel the Roughneck to be one of the best lookign designs in the game.

I mean, if you ask 'fan favorites' then there are like so many mechs left that I would be dead before PGI implements all of those 'fan favorites'.
More I think and read in this forum, Reddit and other Battletech, more I think the Battletech once needs to be freed from these fans' demands, which inhibit franchise growth itself.
We were not going to see amazing designs like Uziel if we were going to implement fan favorites all the time.

That's not a very good example... :/
Anyway, if a game (or IP) does not make the fans happy, it's doing it wrong.
