I want ugly Mechs from the TRO3055.... a walk-able Falconer or Penetrator would be great.

LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGS

This guy will have the same illness as the NovaCat or Uziel.... Alex Artwork would be the best of this Mech, and you don't need to pay money for the artwork.
Maybe as a standing Mech the 3d Model would look good enough too.
Falconer or Penetrator would be great.

It does look a bit.. squished to me....

I recently made a not-fafnir Fraenir model...
Spoiler

And spending a lot of time looking at several arts... I feel like this is almost an inflatable version of the TT Fafnir pictured...

One of the few must buy Mechs. Posted Image

But seriously, a Davion-Pattern? Are they insane? This is a Steiner signature Mech. It should come with a Steiner (aka Lyran Guards) pattern. Posted Image

At least the hero has a Royal Guards pattern...

edit:

Good, they saw their mistake:

Bishop, your honest opinion on the Fafnir?

Is this an "original" Battletech mech or has the Fafir his roots in mw4?

I'm 99% sure it's from MW4 originally, like the Hellspawn and the likes.

It's not a MW4 original. FLG 01 will be by soon to tell you, I'm sure. Something about the Fafnir being used by some Archon Posted Image

Well you're in luck!

Fafnir was a pivotal 'mech in the FedCom Civil War.

Apparently.

Where's a lorehead when you need one? Maybe I should buy some novels...

I'm pretty sure the Fafnir wasn't made for MW4. It is the signature Steiner mech of the Fedcom.

Don't worry, it's NOT from MW:4 originally, the first entry was in the Field Manual: Lyran Alliance.
http://www.sarna.net..._Lyran_Alliance
That's years before it made its first appearance in MW:4 Mercs.

And yes, it was famously piloted by Archon Peter Steiner-Davion, who used a Royal Guards paint scheme on it - hence the hero colours I guess.
The irony is that it was a captured Fafnir. Only the Loyalists had regular access to the Fafnir as it was produced by Defiance on Hesperus II which was firmly in Katherine's hand. Conversely, his main opponent Nondi Steiner used a Hauptmann - a Mech only the Allies had regular access to, as it was produced on Coventry which declared for Victor as soon as the war broke out.

The Fafnir was set up to be Defiance's flagship Mech, the pride and joy of the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces. As such it got latest Lyran hightech and a name that was en vogue with the Lyrans at the time, i.e. from Germanic mythology. And the Lyrans loved it, using it immediately to great effect against the Falcons (well, and against the Allies...).

Yes, Germanic mythology, xVLFBERHxT likes this Posted Image . Thank you on the clarification. I think as a steiner/ clan wolf in exile sort of player I might take one.

I wouldn't turn it away if someone gifted it to me, but not a fan of it, even in the TT... still I think the 6U or 6R are going to be the best versions of it....

I am not a huge fan of it either, because I rarely drive assaults; though I liked it in TT.
But from where I am coming, it is just too important not to buy. It is the Steiner-Mech of the era, has a pivotal part in the history of the FCCW (and the Jihad), and it really embodies Lyran design philosophies. ...perhaps to the point of caricature, but that's kind of the spirit of the era I am afraid.

I'll probably get the base back and perhaps the Hero for it has a solid representation of the Royal Guards paint scheme. But I don't preorder anymore.

I hear ya, and if they release the Stinger / Wasp / Templar I'm likely to drop some cash too, just due to the importance of those three mechs.
