well, this is one of the 2 ways my DD runs
JM6-DD
this is the other.
JM6-DD
I run the dual ac10 build on my ilya (2 ac10, 2 medium laser, 105 rounds of ammo and a 340XL), have since the Ilya came out, so I tend to run the UACs on my JM6 more, as I tend to dislike repeating roles and builds. But either have been wreckign balls for me.

Thanks I might do something similar since I feel the same way unless it can offer me enough of a difference. Plus AC5s snipe better than AC10s. I am going to have to figure out what I want from the last two chassis and if I want to run the Firebrand with its mix of energy and ballistics in the arms.

I like the rifleman build on the Firebrand.

JM6-A
its my command mech from Mechwarrior tactics, basically.
and a couple variants
JM6-A
JM6-A
IDK, like 2000 drops in the Jager, so I guess I like em ok.

It doesn't yet have an hero, but the chassis has geometry for the weapons already, for missiles, ppcs, lasers so I think it won't have any geometry pass.

can't say for sure it was me, but i did one shot a hunchie in the back at the start of a match the other day with my spider. I was so surprised by it that I was already in the process of running away in a zig zag expecting retaliation. here is my build - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d764048c63affab - I generally scout way ahead and call out the location of the main force until i can get close enough behind them to lock on one for LRM's - if we have a couple dedicated missile boats I'll run through their ranks and pop a UAV - which I think was what I was doing in that match.
and since this a general build discussion thread, I'll post my phract build as well in case it can draw any insightful criticism... http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5d727b7d57d8320
both builds are doing very well for me- the CTF-4x nets 2-5 kills and 3-7 assists on average, while the spider can usually get 1-2k, and 7-10 assists (plus base/resource point caps / fakes, and causing general mayhem and confusion inside enemy lines.)

Nope was not you. The Spider was 5K© which is why it surprised me so much since they cannot do the 38 damage needed to core my Hunchback from behind. The only thing that I can think of is that I took some friendly fire from someone trying to kill the Spider at the same time that the Spider shot me.
This is not a general build topic but more of a Battletech nerdom talking and debating topic. So no worries about posting here since it is still on topic. Your build is fine if not a bit boring (the 4X is just too easy for me) and I run something very similar. Since the MLs are more of a backup weapon and 2 can cause the mech to run somewhat hot I stuck with having 1ML. Where mine gets interesting is I managed to fit 2AC5s and 2UAC5s along with 7 tons of ammo. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5e8adb4792bb4d1 This thing will rip apart any Atlas and Stalker, even had a few turn around and run from me, and partly why I find it so boring. Feel free to stick around and see what is going on. I have learned a lot from both Bishop and Odanan among others about Battletech.

I would kill for if flamers did little to no damage (possibly just internal) but actually increased heat 5+ every second then they would be murder to anyone that runs hot.

Except put the missile hard point in the CT, 1 energy in each side torso and then 1 ballistic in either arm but just 1 ballistic and capable of 3 JJ's.

That would be a straight downgrade from the existing 4X variant, though.
