I probably had an hallucination, but loading the front page of mwomercs for an instant I saw a slide with a name "requiem" that suddendly disappeared and it's not available among the usual ones (oxide, hpg and so on).

Maybe that's the name of the new hero..

EDIT: nope it's a small error I had from firefox that made me read requiem but it's this:

Well thanks to a little slip by Russ we now know that the Hero mech this month will be 50 tons so very likely the Hunchback.

@Vicodium at 50 tons should be the same as the YLW

That should make you very happy Bishop

Well, not very excited about the hero Hunchie... is it at least somewhat canon?

PS: I told you it would be ballistics + missile (because of the missing HBK-4N). ;)

I take what I said back. XL + GR + Hunchback hunch + Slow = a mech that has trouble keeping up with the team and a super easy to hit hunch that the GR will pop and take out the XL engine. Talk about Glass cannons. I cannot wait for Smurfy to update so that I can see what can be done with it. I have a feeling that if 1 or 2 things are removed from the equation that it might be a really good mech.

Other than AC5s, the Hunchback just does not have the room/tons available for IS twin ballistics, so this variant is the best that PGI could come up with and not be weakened. I am just a little disappointed that they could not come up with a better mix that was safer and more lethal when I can do that in my head in a few min of reading the specs.

So Bishop what do you think you will do to Grid Iron? This is http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a38246307cfe1f0 what I am planning but depending on how it fares I might go to this http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b0eb0ce749c3cbb Still not sure how the XL will fare so I just might make it a Hero 4G.

I would recommend a XL270 or XL275 and regular Medium Lasers instead of Medium Pulse Lasers.

And the ammo: all in the legs.

(for the AC/10 variant)

I still have not tried it been chicken to run with a 200XL 64kph and a GR so I am saving for a bigger engine but the way the Hunchback hit boxes work I may just do the 4G version. Had a Spider with take out my rear CT (killed me) with 1 shot when I run 58/6 on my 4P yesterday. The kill screen showed ERLL was the last thing to hit me and the Spider was the only enemy around. Maybe it is just me but the Hunchback is really squishy and I seem to do really poorly with it. Sucks but oh well I am sentimental for classic designs.

dunno for sure.

Right now, using it with an LB10X, ASRM6, 2 Mediums. Standard engine. I dont trust it with an XL.

Wow... just about pissed myself laughing. Makes you wonder how it was "accidently" used or if someone was a Battletech fan.
