Maybe it'll be hero Blackjack/Quickdraw/whatever variants, but variants nonetheless. Given how little effort it probably takes to change hardpoint layouts, even for hero variants you'd only be looking at the unique camos.

Good bet there will be a hero Blackjack or Quickdraw soon. PGI solicited ideas for heroes for those two from the NGNG forums earlier this month. Personally hoping for "The Arrow" and "IV-Four" and not just because I submitted variants for those either. They are time line friendly and come from the same canon fluff as Pretty Baby and The Death's Knell.

Holy crap...I hadn't seen that before...LOL. They posted this in the "Last 50!" Madcat thread PGI started. I just noticed that the gold-color really evoked a 'smiley face' for me lol.

shame AlphaStrike is such a braindead version of Battletech. From reading the rules, I would rather go back to Clix and MW:DA than to waste money on AlphaStrike........

There is the advantage that you can use all the cool rules from TacOps - but its a shame that damage and armor distribution was streamlined in such manor - but the Artwork is very good indeed

Alpha Strike was meant for large scale combat IIRC. I haven't purchased it cause I don't TT anymore.

I'm finding it hilarious how the modeling team managed to get the Adder and Stormcrow so right and then put IS legs on the Madcat.

The Madcat would look so much better with either of those leg sets and the Clans have been all about reusing parts, just upscale it.

But whatever, haven't bought the clans and don't plan to even after CBill release. The IS is even better for the Munchkin inside of me.
