That is your Opinion Only Cimarb. It does nothing to denote to PGI what is and is not a waste of their resources.
Regardless of the reason for implementing something.

**EDIT** - It also fulfills on a promise given to us almost 2 years ago when its artwork was released. And that is something that you cannot quantify.

You know what opinions are like...

And like Metus said, things change. They got the rights to make the Locust after the MASC issues cropped up, and there is now very little reason to add the Flea. Just because they worked on the concept art does not constitute a promise, and even if they did, that is a pretty lame reason to spend the resources on basically a duplicate mech.

Your personal feelings about a particular mech cannot be quantified, as you are a singular player, and it is just your feelings, but the resources - both in time and money - can very much be quantified. If you are going to leave the game, or join the NOPE bandwagon or whatever, just because the Flea is never released, the rest of us will be happy to take your place supporting mechs that actually make a difference in the game.

How about this: the resources spent working on the Flea could just as well be spent on the Urbanmech. Would you like to make a poll choosing between those two light mechs?....

Urbanmechs has a higher priority than the Flea, but I'd like to see the Flea nonetheless.

I will welcome any new mech, as it will make at least one other pilot very happy and bring PGI some more money, but the Flea is a waste of resources currently. Plenty of other mechs that can make use of MASC right now, with the existing code nonetheless, so focusing on the Flea is really hindering the implementation of MASC in general.

Give me an Executioner with MASC and it goes 86.4kph, well within the capabilities of the game, and wait to implement those mechs that break the system. Simple as that. If you want to drive a Flea without MASC, just rename your Locust or put your Cicada on a diet!

I think the Black Knight is a far better looking design, but the Grasshopper will be a better mech in MWO, even with JJs being nerfed quite a bit. Both are almost completely energy-dependent, but at least the Grasshopper has a missile slot...

I think Alex will make either one look incredibly good, though, so I just voted for the underdog (Grasshopper). I will likely not purchase either, though, as I will have my Hellbringer soon :-D

I want none of the Flea, Urbanmech, Black Knight nor the Grasshopper. There are at least 4 heavies I want before those last two, unfortunately they're all Unseen. I'm sure there are probably a bunch of lights I'd rather have than the Flea & Urbanmech as well.

Don't worry Bishop. I did my duty and voted Grasshopper. Jumpjets and a more diverse loadout even if it is marginal.

The real question is how the 'role' of either the Black Knight or the Grasshopper sits in the game when we have the Quickdraw. Will be nice to see how the quirks separate them.

Now, as for the Flea talk, the Flea has a reason to exist as it was used pretty heavily by us Cappies and, well, Stealth Armor (Edit: and ECM.) Mind you, not in timeline I believe, still things are allowed to be fudged and have been in the past.

In the current timeline, only Marik uses it. And not heavily.

Oh, if the Black Knight had a perk in which it wasn't 'destroyed' when it's legs were blown off, I'd vote for that.

Grasshopper is one of the most prized 'Mechs for general mercenary work in the timeline because it is so versitile. But the more practical aspects of if are often overlooked by players who just want to cram in "moar gunz". :(

Not on topic, but relevant:

Transverse shut down.

I know this was your baby, Bryan, but out there in space is a hostile environment.
Just for your information, I wouldn't pay for another Star Citizen (or Elite: Dangerous - I'm backing both), but I would pay for a MWO's singleplayer module.

It was very interesting to listen to, even for this lenght.

I'm looking forward to all the things mentioned and happy to have heard about the background of past decisions.

Thanks for all the information and your time, Russ!

I'd pay for an Aerotech spinoff, especially if it influences CW in MWO. Not directly (different engine, blah blah blah), but the supplies I deliver planetside in my dropship go to the units on the ground, etc.... Not hard to feed data from one database to another and back.
