Well, I did drop to er larges finally, because of heat and just how mediocre PPCs are now.
So it's the 6R (modified) 2x C-ERLarge, 3x C-ERMediums, 2x C-MG and a single C-SRM6. I might end up adding the Alpha head, and switching to 2x C-ERSmall and 2x C-ERMediums, and an C-aSRM4.

I like the cSSRM6 with a half ton of ammo for a "surprise ****face!" against lights that get too close.

Just swap the ECM to counter, lock and fire!

Also I run a TC Mk 3/4 in there as well, everything else is armour and heat sinks.

Well, to update and clarify, I have seen one thread where it is stated that it's still not "there" yet. So who knows? I'm still playing around with potential builds.... Soon™.

It seemed rather solid last night. I think the searchlight still registers CT, so that asks for testing (and hopefully if so, a fix) but I was 3-4x tankier than than over the weekend.

Finding a hard hitting build that isn't boring laser vomit is a little hard and it's definitely not the chassis for people who like running cool, but it can be a beast. And the ECM can add a whole new dimension. Sans-ECM, toe to toe, the TW is still THE Mech, but as a part of the "team" with ecm (and you'll put it in all 3 versions, anyhow), it's dang good now.

It's hot, but you use the PPCs at range, then the other stuff up close, and it works. Also, if worried about heat, swapping down to an SRM4 is more effective, drop MG ammo to .5 tons, and swap PPCs for ER Larges, and you add 5 DHS.

I died to nothing but CT all weekend - even when being hit from behind - and last night I did not die once to CT in all my matches. It is most definitely fixed for the most part. I cannot confirm what Bishop said about the searchlight, but it is immensely better now.

It's only 'pricey' if getting it via the 80USD / 120USD 'max level pack' option. (Though you get a ton of stuff for that).
Alternatively, it'll be available for MC on the 16th regardless, and for C-Bills in January.
