Close, yeah. The offset cockpit is the issue with the Thunderbolt/Summoner version of the Warhammer. That is why the Hellbringer is a much better twin.

Name an unseen mech, and we already have something "close" but named different.

Marauder = Timber Wolf
Warhammer = Summoner (Hellbringer even more, but not here yet)
Archer = a little more difficult, but Mad Dog will be pretty close

etc.

Except that we don't want clan substitutions for our favorite IS mechs. You gonna tell folks they can make an Urbanmech with a Kitfox because it's the same weight so "close enough"?

Also, hero Battlemaster today! Woo!

urbanmech is the best mech period. hands down not even an atlas can compete with that kinda swagger.

Now what would be the Longbow? i think i remember something similar of Jade Falcon origin maybe.

When I was playing them I turned a JM6-A into a pretty mean LRM platform with 2 backup MLs and no ballistics.

Hero Battlemaster and Champ Spider, but close guess.

I see these tweets by this guy Eledain but I can't find his source. He says for this patch we will have:

- visual weapon customization for the Spider;
- return of the coordinates when pressing F9;
- 6 new cockpit items;
- new champion Kintaro;
- new hero Battlemaster;
- and more stuff.

Looking forward to the hero Beemer actually. Sounds like it might be a take on the red corsairs ride.

What are you smoking, bro?
The only thing the Atlas can't compete with the UrbanMech is the jumping contest.

Ironically, it's two predecessors and "parents" were jump capable- the Battleaxe and Hammerhands.

So...nothing of consequence.

Visual customization of the Spider is actually the only real step foward.
F9 is ok.
Hero Mechs mean actually zero new content. As do champions.
Cockpit items...don´t get me started.

And both had problems with the reliability and the user intelligence in regards to JJs. No wonder they just didn´t bother with them and concentrated on firepower.

In part, this was due to how new jump jets were at the time, especially on larger designs. There's a reason the jet-free version of the Battleaxe has the -NC designation... for "No Crash". ;)

It certainly didn't stop the better designed Guillotine or Grasshopper later on.

•BLR-1GHE BattleMaster HellSlinger This Star League Era variant removes the Machine Guns and SRM launcher and their ammunition. The SRM launcher is replaced by three Streak SRM-2 launchers with a single ton of ammunition. Two forward Medium Lasers are removed, and an extra PPC is mounted in the left arm. Sixteen Double Heat Sinks keep the 'Mech cool, and the 'Mech's armor is upgraded to Ferro-Fibrous armor. An extra half ton of armor is also installed.[44]

this is the hero^ ?

Yep, its a Battlemaster with crappy hardpoints and quirks.

Oh, and this is from another thread:

Why not Spider Hero? Even despite Spider has received proper weapon display in this patch - usually that was done to chassis of previous Hero mechs! The last remaining pre-Phoenix mech w/o Hero variant.

PS Smurphy displays stats for Anansi Spider Hero variant, probably leaked from game files. 1b+1e on each arm, 1m in CT and twin AMS in side torsi. Mobility caps at 6 JJ and 270 engine. No ECM. Looks somewhat P2W... it brings Spider closer to ranks of overt combat lights instead of support/harrasser.

And another month without new chassis. :(

More and more i think they will soon announce a new mechpack.

There are 5 more Phoenix/Saber chassis without a hero. 2 in September, 2 in October, 1 with a new Clan Mech in November and then in December the next Mech Pack.

Possible with the jenner too, but atleast this somewhat will look like a Panther.

Now i want my Hero Zeus with 1 M in right arm, 1 E in each of the 3 torso and 1E + 1B in left arm.
