Hmmm... to be honest, I do like the IS weapons. Clans are superior for their DHS, ES, FF and specially the XL Engines.

First, that would make zero sense. Clan technology is much more advanced than Star League tech.
Second, within 5-10 years of the timeline, IS Houses were fielding their own omnimechs and Clan-level tech. We are already starting to see 3052 mechs, so it will not be long. Just not sure how PGI will handle that homogenization...

What I can bet about that pack?
- it will be composed of Inner Sphere mechs.
- it will be Comstar-related (might even be called "Clanbuster Pack")
- it will include the Black Knight and Cyclops.
- the light mech will probably be the Mongoose (most likely ECM-capable).
- the medium mech will be the Sentinel, Wyvern or Crab.

Edit:
Thiking on it, during the ride into work today, perhaps a "Command and Control" pack might be the next IS pack, now hear me out on this:
Cyclops, a known command level battlemech
Black Knight, a known command level battlemech
Crab, a known c3 slave carrier
Hermes, a known c3 slave carrier

I'd rather see the Lancelot.
Champion is just too similar of the Dragon and the mech's name would be confusing with the (C) variants.
I named the Black Knight and the Cyclops because of the recent heavy and assault official polls.

Hence my amended post with the edit, thinking on a pack set....

I actually think it will be more like this for the first two:
Mauler
Black Knight
The only reason I say that is because during the Town Hall Russ stated that originally the next Pack was going to be a mixed IS/Clan one, with the Mauler and Black Knight Concept Art Already done. So to me that means Resistance II will have those two at the top. As for the Medium and Light, those I have no idea.
THey are already pushing 3052 Tech now, so anything in that regard is fair game I think.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Mauler in game, but she would have Awesome syndrome for hit boxes....
Russ did have a poll for the Cyclops that lost to the Zuse, so I think it is a safe bet that we will see the Cyclops soon I think.

You're probably right, but don't forget when that poll went up, I think someone counted the number of people who chose Mauler in the thread itself. Which is probably why Russ had it on the table for the Town Hall.
I'm good with either, though I would prefer the Mauler for Nostalgia sake.
Given that we know as well there is artwork for it and BK versus not a peep on the Cyclops leads me to believe it will Be Mauler first, then that one. I could be wrong though. Either way, its more mechs for us.

And more things for me to blast with cERPPC's.
Aside from a few select IS mechs (Cent's Locust and the rewards Atlas and KGC), this account is pure clan.

Right on, nothing wrong with having mostly clan. I have All clan mechs and 90% of every IS (can't bring myself to get a few though, no matter how much rationale I hear). So either way I am good, I feel like Clan Wave 3 is hitting the lottery for me though. 3 of the 4 mechs I remember from my MW4 days, which makes me one very happy person. And on hearing what the AC is going to be capable of, its gonna be a Hot summer indeed. Just need to see what Resistance II brings.
If they push the Timeline further past 3052, My hopes are:
Mauler
BK (No Thanatos till 306X's)
Bushwacker (Hopefully has Stalker Durability on a 55T chassis)
*Any light really, the ones I like don't come out for 10 years)*

I'd like to see the Bushwacker, but she will be tricky, and more than likely have Stalker type Hit Boxes, but those arms should be able to sheild them a little...
The wave 3 mechs, have one that I love from TT, and one that stands up better for me, than the current clan medium's offer...
Ebon Jaguar and Shadow Cat.... but for me a lot depends on the art work for them.
For a light, I would love to see the Piranha, 12MG's on a 151 km/h chasis stock? Yes please!
For an Assualt, well I already have it, my Warhawk....

I can support the addition of the Champion to MWO. Such s cool mech.
As for the similarity to the Dragon. Quirks has taught me that any mech can be given a new role or purpose with the right quirks. It may look similar to a Dragon on paper, butthe right quirks can make it entirely unique.

Yea give it quirks to LB-10X, and SRM's and it could be very inttersting.

Cyclops is just a 90 tons Atlas (even the variants kind of mirror those of the Atlas). Mauler, on the other hand, can bring a massive and diverse firepower. Mauler loadouts would be more similar with the King Crab: boating autocannons, missiles or lasers. It would be the single IS mech to sport 4x LB-10X.
Russ hints about this Mauler concept art for more than a year. The problem with the mech is the lack of "easy" variants. Mauler has two low-tech variants, both prototypes, the Doboku (field in some numbers by the DC but regarded as defective) and the Linesman (basically apocryphal). The other time-wise variants are basically the same but with C3, an equipment we might never have in the game. PGI could use the prototype variants (as suggested here) or just create new variants (like they did with the Enforcer).
I think the Mauler would sell much better than the Cyclops, but it looks like they want to use more chassis from the Battletech's Introductory Box and the remaining light, medium and heavy mechs are really asking for a "Comstar" themed pack.
Let's see.

I think the Bushwacker will be good if they can scale it right. It needs to sit lower, and hopefully it will have hard to hit ST's.
I'm okay with it having Stalker Syndrome to be honest, my Stalkers can seriously take a beating before dropping, which is nice for an 85 Ton Assault.
The arms will help shield for sure, and hopefully we will get some good ballistics on all variants.
Wave 3 for me has 2 of my favorite all time mechs, after all I consider the Caldron-Born to be a 65Ton Clan Bushwacker so
And the Shadowcat, well because my first Mech ever played was when I started MW4 Vengence, and in my first mission I was in the SC so....it means a lot to me to get back in the saddle.
ECM will make it great. It will be everything the Cicada is not, and I do great in that mech so I'm hopeful.
