Only Russ knows... maybe.
Honestly, right now I really want to know more about HBS's BattleTech. They use an inverted MechCommander logo as the A in "BattleTech" for crying out loud. Need to know if I can command vehicles and infantry right beside my 'Mechs.
I am a bit burned out on Packs right now and a Project Phoenix II or a pack including some select non IIC Clan BattleMechs is the only real way I'll buy more. I have four Overlords worth of 'Mechs in my bays or coming and I just cannot pilot them all. I never thought I'd say this, but I have too many 'Mechs.

... Then I imagine PGI would probably want to hold off on any announcement of such until some point in time where it would make sense to make an big, exciting announcement. Not just a regular mechpack announcement at whatever time.

Imagine lances... No... No! Imagine full teams of 12 filled with beautiful, beautiful reimagined Unseen doing battle against eachother in MWO!
Excuse me. I think I need to have a little lie-down.
I'll be in my bunk.

They did keep quiet on the others until the community in general had given up all hope. I would not be surprised if they did the same here.

@Fernand0Prado: "Hey PGI, now the Macross Unseen are back, why not releasing a big Project Phoenix 2?"
@russ_bullock: "it's certainly on our minds"
The return of the Macross Unseens would be the greatest Battletech achievement of the century!

Don't hang me on the nearest tree, but i'd rather get Quads and Melee combat.
But that requires coding and putting actual thought into it, so it's not going to happen. Ever.
Which is why, i'm super excited for the upcoming Turn Based Battletech game. It might have them both. Which would be nice.

You had my attention at Melee....annnnnd lost it at quads. Lol.
In any case, that new BT game has me interested for sure.

It's strange, because i mentioned Quads first. So i didn't have your attention at first, but got it with Melee? Or did i retroactively lost the attention, because i mentioned them at all?
I AM SO CONFUSED
I do like Quads, though.
Scorpion being my favorite BT mech of all time (It's a dougram Unseen, like the Phoenix mechs, but you know)

Then my evil plan is working...muhahaha!
I just never really thought of quad mechs as a MechWarrior thing. I know it is in Battletech and the Tarantula was briefly in MW2, but it just feels wrong to me.
Now as for Melee. It would take us one step closer to the Axman and an Adam Steiner Hero, and that would make me happy .

That's exactly what a lot of mechwarriors in-lore think too, so i can't really blame you.
I may be a hipster, but the fact that a lot of Mechwarrior hated the very IDEA of Quad 'mechs, makes me love them even more.

I completely understand. I think that might be the case for me when it comes to the Urbanmech . Well, that and it is awesome!

If they don't have it, i won't be buying the Battletech game, EVEN IF IT HAS QUADS.
Also, i really love the "Notable pilots" of the Scorpion mech, like Wednall, who literally left the Lyrans, because he learned that they planned on destroying his Family Scorpion, or Klaus Schenker who named his mech "Unbreakable" after learning that he couldn't find any replacement limbs for it anymore and he managed to get more kills than the rest of his lance COMBINED.

No, the greatest would be masterminding the complete dissolution of HG. But this would be a close second.

Russ said Quads would never happen a very long time ago. Because the amount of programming for such a small number of mechs doesn't make sense, and I agree. But if enough were sold, perhaps they would relent. After all, we got Urbie made, didn't we?

Did Russ say that, or did IGP say that via Russ?
I'm still holding out hope for the Flea too.

Well, you can't really blame the Mechwarriors in the BT universe for disliking the quads, or rather more specifically the Scorpion, since that particular mech is noted in the TRO for being a massively bumpy ride, to the point where after a little while in the cockpit you're not sure if your internal organs are gonna be shaken lose and out through your mouth or... the other end.
The other quads like the Goliath and Tarantula were not described as having such a punishing gait however.
