Well way back before resistance pack 1, they put up a poll for various mechs, like Black Knight vs Grasshopper and Cyclops vs Zuse. Both mechs in each of those polls had art work finished apparently, but we the players had to choose one with out any art work being shown.

Considering there's only two omnimechs left, one is butt ugly and the other is not a likely addition until PGI can figure out the engine issue, I am hoping they start adding the other clan mechs instead.

The Griffin IIC is my personal bias between the Griffin vs Shadow Hawk - I think it looks better. The Rifleman IIC would make a great heavy IIC as the Rifleman is just getting added in, and the Marauder IIC doubles up as the perfect Assault IIC since the Marauder was just released.

What about the Warhammer IIC? She's an assualt class too, and the Whammy comes out soon too...

Personal bias towards the Marauder IIC. I think Alex could do great things to make the Marauder IIC look really cool - and since the Marauder was the first of the big 4 Unseen released I'd just like to see it come first. But if we get a Warhammer IIC you certainly won't see me complain. Especially if it looks anything like the "reseen"

But the Lupus is Standard Engine. :(
The heavy option for the Night Gyr is the Linebacker (overengined, but with energy weapons might be OK).

And the Kodiak deserves to be in the next Clan pack, for sure. But I hope it is an all-Battlemech pack.

That's fine, I'm biased towards the Whammy, first real Mech I ran in TT, I even keep a lance of them in active service in my IS TT company. The Marauder was always too hot and under armoured for my liking.

Hey, Clanners always say that IS STD engines are as good as their XL engines, "more durable" they say, hahaha.

That's part of why I want the Lupus. Having a standard Engine clan omnimech would be at the very least unique. I'm not gonna lie and say it would be better but... It's fast (Mad Dog/Ebon Jaguar/Timber Wolf speed), it has "ok" armament, and is well armored. Like I said, the Night Gyr is waaay more likely I think.

As for the Turkina vs Kodiak (I LOVE THE KODIAK) - the Turkina gives us a very unique profile for the Clan Assaults - a King Crab shaped profile. The other clan Assaults are mostly tall and the only really wide one is the Dire Wolf, but it's still taller than it is wide. The Turkina breaks that mold by being very squat. So while I would love the Kodiak coming in, I would also love to see the Turkina. Especially if it gets the Ebon Jaguar treatment and doesn't look so ugly anymore, haha.

I'd like the Kodiak, she's a better Atlas with a cXL 400, 9E, 1B and 2M for hard points with out inflation. That makes for some scary weapon combinations....

It practically has a Nova built inside of it with the 8x ERMLs split between the two arms, too. Plus a giant cUAC/20 in the torso. It's a non-omni, faster Dire, basically. Where the Dire wolf has 54kph top speed and 50.5 tons of weapon space (after max armor, adjusted to remove waste), the Kodiak has 64kph top speed and 36.5 tons of weapon space (after max armor, adjusted). If we could put ferro fibrous on the Kodiak, that would take it to 40 tons of weapon space.

Not as firepower focused as a Dire Wolf, but with the speed of an Inner Sphere Heavy.. it could certainly be a threat.

Well I'm sure given time and all that lots and lots of mechs will indeed be added. But if I had to choose which one I'd rather see put in, right now... I don't know. If the Kodiak looked more like the MWLL version then I would have no choice but the Kodiak. If the Kodiak is gonna look more like the MW4/miniature artwork, however, I'd probably say Turkina without batting an eye.

I would disagree with that, as there is not a lot of overlap between the Night Gyr (introduced in 3052) and the Nova Cat (introduced in 3059).

The common points are that they have the same starting pod space (38 tons), the same top speed (64.8 kph without Speed Tweak), both make use of Endo-Steel and XL Engines, and both start close to their maximum armor loads.

However:
The Night Gyr makes use of Ferro-Fibrous Armor (starts at 95% of its maximum armor load) while the Nova Cat uses Standard Armor (starts at 99% of its maximum armor load).

If you like the Lupus for its standard engine, what about that Kingfisher with its standard? :D

As omnis go I can see why there's plenty of buzz over the Night Gyr and Turkina. I think they're the "safest" pick for omnis in a pack format, or independently as one-offs. They make a bunch of sense that way, the same way the Ebon did.

Lupus would be another 60 tonner, and another ECM mech, and the Prime would be a little Acher-Tempest-like too. I'd be good with it, really.

Like the 90-ton standard-engined Kingfisher, it's an older omni design, that hung around for quite a while. Any of these heavies and assaults would be fun (to me).

The Kodiak, if implemented, would probably get the Prime variant (3001), the Kodiak 5 variant (3052), and one or two PGI variants.

The Kingfisher, if implemented, would get some combination of the Prime, A, B, C, and D configurations.

The Turkina, if implemented, would get some combination of the Prime, A, B, C, and D configurations.

How's this for a Clan OmniMech pack? ;) Standard Engine Clan OnmiMechs, go! :D
