The mech should be released 12 or 19 April.

Kodiak variants in the Totem Mech Clan Collection, production dates:
- Kodiak 1: 3001
- Kodiak 2: 3062
- Kodiak 3: 3068
- Kodiak 4: 3066
- Kodiak 5: 3052
I just hope PGI doesn't burn all most awaited designs (Nova Cat, Blood Asp, Mad Cat MK II) already. We have a long road for MWO and there are still some chassis to cover before going MW4 terrain.
EDIT: on a second thought, if there is a Kodiak 5 in 3052, we can assume the 2, 3 and 4 existed, at least in a prototype form. The sky isn't falling, after all.

Consider also: the two in-timeline variants are the Kodiak 1 (3001) and the Kodiak 5 (3052).
Releasing just those two would be awkward ("If we have 1 & 5, where are 2 through 4?"), and PGI is evidently unwilling to rename variants (e.g. renaming the Kodiak 5 to Kodiak 2).
And, since the Kodiak 2, Kodiak 3, and Kodiak 4 do not include any out of-timeline equipment, they apparently concluded that adding them would cause minimum fuss (versus, say, creating a PGI-custom Kodiak 2 loadout that wasn't a canonical Kodiak 2).
IMO, if any of the in-between variants had been packing out-of-timeline tech (e.g. Plasma Cannons, HAGs, ATM launchers, etc), PGI would have tried their best to switch out the offending components with extant tech.
IMO, it's not a case of the timeline being "gone", so much as being "strained, but not wholly broken".

The only thing that could hurt my wallet at this point would be a Flea pack.
(And I'd be a little upset if they would ask the same amount of money for a 20 ton flea as they did for a 70 ton warhammer.)

For me it's probably a Scorpion/Goliath pack.
Hatchetman/Axman might too.

But how they would work since PGI didn't implement selectable ammo types?
Simple: there would be 3 types of ammo: Standard, ER and HE. When you mount any of those ammo types in the mechlab, the other types become "locked" (can't mount them). So the weapon would effectively get the stats (range and damage) from the ammo there is in the mech.
I know this would remove the "tactical" feature of the weapon (using the appropriate ammo for the appropriate range), but it would allow some new Clan variants to the game.
BTW, the same could be done for the Clan LB/X autocannons (no need for the Clan "Autocannons").

Funny you call it the underdog pack, the Lancelot would be a strong mech, it'd obsolete to Rifleman easily, unless quirked.
The Charger I think would be just ok. I'd prefer a 95 tonner because there's only two in game and the two options I mentioned would be perfect additions.

Be a little more picky?
I know I am, no more fun money on the fire from me, till I see one of these four:
Phoenix Hawk
Stinger
Wasp
Coyotl
While I really want the Kodiak and think it looks great, I'm Inner Sphere so it'll do me no good in CW. It's getting harder to open my wallet so here's my list:
Stinger
Wasp
Valkyrie
Phoenix Hawk
Longbow
Champion
Thorn
Flea
Mercury
Hatchetman
Any/all OST series
Side note: I really wish PGI would reopen their concept art page.... I need it for my TRO: MWO.

Certainly has been a long winding road
I like your idea of the Phoenix II pack, I'd go for that, even though I hardly log in these days, I'd still buy it.
Other wise Mechs I'd spend cash on are getting few and far between, but if its in the TRO 3025 the original not the revised without the unseen, then I'd likely spend on it, so yes the Charger as well.
However you can keep the Hatamoto Chii
