PGI should consider it as a challenge, when they are able to create a game where the Ostscout is important they have done something right.

Eh, they'd just give it a 75% Large Laser cooldown quirk, and ignore any scouting.

Now it looks ready for a thin black ink wash. As long as it's not a glossy ink, it'll reduce some of the shine, and make the detail lines pop.

Basically give the Ostscout a Locust 1V weapon quirk setup and wish the pilot good luck lol.

but hey it jumps. And would probably have ecm. So you'd get even weaker version of the 2xERLL sniper... you'd get idiots wasting everyone's time with 1xERLL "Snipers".

But with HP inflation, that 1xEnergy would be at least 2x, maybe even 3x. Add ECM and we have ourselves a viable assaultscout err... Light mech... :P

It's in the CT. They don't inflate into other locations that I am aware of. So you can have 12x inflation.... of it's single CT hardpoint and you still end up with?

1xERLL.

Wouldn't be the first time PGI took some "creative license" to make it work. Also gotta think of the variants and Hero too... This wouldn't be your father's OST Scout.... :P

Hero, maybe. Show me which variant comes packing extra heat?

Until the Project Phoenix variant of 3064, the answer would be....none.

Let's stop wasting time on it and something fun and useful...like the Assassin.

Bug Paul and Tina and Russ about that. Maybe it'd happen.

And... I think my new but not yet ready to reveal Assassin piece will smoke any of my existing stuff. I also need to take the time to finish my Vulcan properly, and revert the art to a basic 2T or 5T, etc, anyhow, canon variant.

I had the flagship CN9-AH thread back in the day when we wanted that varant back and look what happened. Not saying it was specifically because of that BUT we got what we wanted. :)

Naw, though I like the OSTs my next cause will be the Flea (after we get our CPTL back). :)

If they introduced the Ostscout and gave it the same quirk as the Locust 1V I'd snap it up in an instant, more so if it had ECM to.

1 hardpoint in the CT on the Ostscout?

Before quirks were a twinkle in the eye of the devs, I had tremendous fun running a single LPL on the SDR-5V with an XL280 and 4JJs.

After quirks, this is more than a little funny on the Locusts too. :D

Question is, could you wring enough variety out of available and invented variants to make it more than a fat Spider? I humbly doubt it, but hey, if you think you can sell enough widgets, why not? (Note: I don't l think they can sell enough of these widgets :()
