Have you noticed, that devs are Kurita fanboys? I mean really. They posted 4 mech, 2 of which are Kurita only designs. I demand something I can drive, please, give a good mechwarrior a good mech. Chinese ones will broke quickly and no way I'm going to pay for them. <_<

Remind me to kill you with a Vindicator reeeeeallly soon. ^^

I'm just hoping this points to a trend of seeing House-specific 'Mechs, like the aforementioned Vindy or Hermes II.

I'd really like to see what he's got in mind for the Stalker, as he already said he wanted to fix its legs.

Maybe he will make his legs bigger. Or he can put them into center of the mech. He wanted to make that mech look it can actually stand on its feet for more that 2 seconds. <_<

At last! A heavyweight 'Mech to round out "the lance". I was just thinking this morning about posting a request for a heavy 'Mech to do just that.

The Dragon is a welcome edition to our arsenal.

Not sure if I like this appearance more, or the TRO:3050U one...
The TRO:3050U one looks sleeker, at least.
Then again, this one tries to match the Nova with the torso-section.

Huh? What does the Nova have to do with the Dragon?

If anything I'd say it has more of a beefy Vulture/Mad Dog torso.

Ah, yes, the Dragon. The Combine BattleMech that replaced the older, superior Von Rohrs.

This may not make sense but it looks less human and more machine than the TRO sketches. Well done.

Emotional rollercoaster:
1. Excitement! New Mech! New Art!

2. Ambivilence... does seem kinda squat, almost want the legs longer... (are those crotch barrels?)

3. Acceptance... meeeh.. yea, it does look better than gobs and gobs of the Dragon art...

3. Excitement again! If I absolutely loved the shape of each and every one, I couldn't have a favorite... hella glad to be getting a new mech period, more options, more tactics. Dig the weapon loadout... Yea, overall I like it.

Anyone else thinking of testing the layout in MP3.1?

I think NetMech mod for MW4:merc better platform for testing classic battletech mechs' configs.

Aside 75% of canon mechs cannot be made due to the annoying hardpoint system

But there we already have some dragon stock variants, ready for tests. And this - 3025 classic too.

I consider myself a BattleTech purist. In general, I haven't been a big fan of the attempts some developers have made at redesigning 'Mechs (I'm looking at you MechWarrior 4). That being said, I absolutely love the concept art that's been put out by MWO. The 'Mechs are instantly recognizable for what they are, and overall haven't been drastically changed. The changes made in the redesigns are generally small, and make the 'Mechs look more functional, something I can't argue with. So thank you, Piranha Games, for showing you understand that the fans are passionate about their 'Mechs, and for keeping true to the BattleTech source art. How about showing us the Zeus next? <_<

To paraphrase the late, great Leslie Nielson:

"I just want to tell you all good luck. We're all counting on you."

Hey um, there's concept lineart not-so-hidden in the background of the image on the front page slideshow. Can ya upload that to the media section for viewing, devs?
