Wait, I thought 60 tons was like a protomech for a Steiner.

Very nice. I like how the LRM10 is split and no longer liiks like vents in the nose.

Wow, that reminds me how much I disliked the old design. Love the new art direction for it! Also, lol, is that a Mackie that it killed?

Nope, it's a Vindicator...shot in the back of the head. Head laser and the backend of the arm mounted PPC sticking out of the snow.

That is a supernova, not the nova.

A cavalry 'mech with some potential. I like that the rear laser is forward-facing now, but I also hope that the developers rebalance the LRM/10 and AC/5, both of which are underpowered for their weight in the tabletop game, not to mention serious liabilities due to how ammo explosions worked.

Hopefully a more powerful autocannon will make the Dragon (and other AC 'mechs like the Jagermech and Blackjack) much more worthwhile to play.

Oh WOW! I've never liked the Dragon design in anything else before, but this is like a rebirth. I think someone else had it earlier, the change to the shoulders is everything. That and you wont hear me gripe about the lack of a rear facing weapon!

I notice that the rear-mounted med laser now faces forward... ;)

Same goes for the Atlas - the CT-mounted lasers now fire forward. There are no rear-firing weapons in the game it seems. This should make the Quickdraw and Archer a little more interesting at least.

f anything I'd say it has more of a beefy Vulture/Mad Dog torso.

lol, no no, I wasn't saying it DID look like that, but if we were making comparisons, I thought that was closer than to a Blackhawk/Nova.

Well, remember that it's only 5 tons heavier than a medium - it's a "light heavy". ;) And also it's designed to be a mass-produced "trooper" mech - able to take on a variety of missions or situations. It's definately not a specialist.

I've seen quite a few posts of people harping on today's reveal, saying it was disappointing or not what they expected. I say that's your fault, for having expectations that are too high. Be satisfied with what you are given instead of disappointed in what you didn't. I'm sure Pirahna would welcome constructive criticism, but not someone who disregards their work with a sigh and a shrug.

I know this game is trying to stay canon, but doesn't the Dragon seem a little underpowered w/o it's Hgauss?
