Do you REALLY think this game with this playerbase would really need such a function? Ive maybe sent 2 Emails to support reporting players in the whole time Ive been playing MWO, which doesnt really show that I would use an ingame reporting tool much more (it would just make it a little bit easier to do this).

However, there are certain players [Redacted] who probably have a macro ingame to complain about players in a unit (in a random PUG game with players from completely different units before the round has started) and another macro with "reported" as soon as anyone dares to comment on his attitude.... Do you really want to give this sort of player any power what so ever over others ingame?

Really, if they wanted to clean up they'd need to send killer robots to your house to stick microchips in your spine because anything less wouldn't have an effect.

I don't know. This game seems no different than the other games I play. The occasional person complains about his/her team and how they stink.

Heck, I've heard people complain and insult our team...AND WE WON!

Any who, just either ignore them or tell them to quit crying lol. Congratulate the opposing team with a "gg" when you lose, and just overall try and treat people the same way you would treat them if you were there in person and not behind a screen.

Overall, do your best to keep your cool and remember it is just a game. Some thick skin required.

Penalizing stupidity is punishing Someone for fighting cockpit to cockpit with 2x zoom active. Trying to hit the enemy with LRMs at 30 M, firing Medium lasers at an enemy at 600 M.

Penalizing jackholes for being jackholes in game is a good idea.

As you know I cant stand all the nerf warriors myself. I can overcome overpowered mechs but not overpowered need to regulate. I find most who ask for that run the edges themselves. Its all about control. Like if your not a cop, your little people. Then there are the self appointed defenders here on the forums. Their own little gang. If they dont like a thread they pile on and get their buddies to report it en masse. Those are the ones PGI should go after.

Because it is unnecessary? If you have an issue with someone tell them, politely. Move on. You don't passive aggressively punch a button saying, "You are a bad person." Same thing with complimenting people. If someone does a good job you simply tell them, "Hey Merc nice job ducking that guy." Move on. Why set up yet another database to track this when the community can do itself just be being a community and reporting the bad seeds?
