Cicada the only one that can kinda do it with a speed over 100? Looking for an is equivalent to the gauss adder. I know it would difficult to match 107 speEd with gauss + 3mls with an Is mech.

Pretty sure the Treb 7K can do it.

Gaussbucket

Cent D can also run it.

Lighten up the armor on the 7k's arms, legs and head just a bit, add Ferro and you can fit a XL310 and go 110.5

Shadowhawk is actually better at this than the Gaussbucket, and can carry an extra laser or JJ's

Grid-Iron is just shy of the 100km/h mark in terms of speed but otherwise outperforms all of the other mechs mentioned here.

Maybe it's not what all the cool kids run these days, but I like my Dragon Flame for this purpose:

Does 106.9 after speed tweak.

+1 for this, the high mounted gauss helps a lot.

Treb 7K is also great, but will perform better with Gauss + ER PPC and XL280

Treb-7K is the mech you are looking for.

What Cookiemonter said, GAUSS+ERPPC+XL280.

Better hardpoints and agility than a Shadowhawk with the same loadout imho...
Trebuchet's agility (accel, decel, twist speed) is very close to a Cicada mech. The top speed is not that important, 90-100 kph will do.
Agility is what makes a dangerous gauss sniper. Stay in cover, precharge gauss, peek for a fraction of second, fire, get back in cover... Treb is perfect for that, i have 500+ games in it and still doing well against any new meta PGI throws at me :)

Without the ERPPC, I would use a HBK - Grid Iron or SHD - Grey Death for a single Gauss + backup meds..

yeah, that buff they gave to the GI is a great incentive. upper shoulder ballistic mount on a shorter medium makes it one of the better snipers

I Highly recommend the Shadowhawk for this. at 55 tons, its a medium mech that can carry a good amount of weapons and a huge engine. plus, its Ballistic slots are all up at the very top of the mech, next to its head, which is absolutely amazing for peaking over ledges and popping off a shot really quick. Plus, you can shove a few jumpjets into it to give it alot of mobility.

The dragon seems like it would be good too, though, to get the one you need, you'll need to drop cash for the Hero variant.
The Treb seems nice as well, but the balistic slot isnt nearly as high as the Flame or the Shadowhawks, and for a long range build, thats a big plus.

While the Shadowhawk may seem to be really tall, it's also really thin, and surprisingly difficult to hit its side torsos, so an XL on it won't be a big deal.

The good variants for such a build are the 2D, 2D2, 5M, and the Grey Death, all able to hold a Guass Rifle and two MLas, while the 2H can hold a Guass, an MLas, and a couple of Machine Guns.

As has been mentioned, the Grid Iron Hunchback is a great one, with quirks specifically for the Guass Rifle, but the only problem with it is it's a Hero, so you'll need to drop real money to get it.

Fang I would probably do this
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...105114c1fa9e293

looking at shadow hawk now.
the 5M looks like a good candidate for me as I can easily re-purpose that 275XL

Sucks they are all so big :( the adder is nice a low to ground. guess I just wanted overall fast mobility. not that adder is fast but tweaked it moves pretty well.

The most popular CN9-YLW (Yen-Lo-Wang) build is a 300XL, endo steel, 2xMPL, and an AC20 w/4 tons ammo. Goes 106.9kph with speed tweak. Would be stupid easy to pull the AC20 for a Gauss w/3 tons ammo (you could shave some armor and swap the MPLs to an ERLL for extra sniping goodness). You can also do this Gauss build on the CN9-D. Hell, before the Gauss was changed to a charge/release mechanic, I ran Gauss & 2xML on a CN9-A with a 250 standard. If you want to get crazy, you could run a CN9-AH with a 255XL, Gauss, and 3xLRM5.

The Treb 7K can work, with comparable (or even slightly better) ground speed as a CN9.

If you want it to jump your only options are the (non-2K) Shadowhawks or the Wolverine 6R.

The Blackjack can handle the weapon, but it just isn't very fast to begin with. And anything lighter just necessitates too many compromises for my tastes.

so a few days with them....sadly, they just don't have the same fun/feel of the gauss adder :( the shadow hawk is ok though with gauss and 4MLs. the centurion, not so much.

A shame you didn't enjoy it much. I was gonna recommend the BJ-1 Gaussjack build.....but I guess Im too late. Frankly I wouldn't spend money to do this build.......also I think you bought the wrong Dragon, Im pretty sure you would have wanted the Flame not the Fang......I own a Fang and Gauss isn't really its thing.

i think my problem is that the medium IS mechs are just so big. the adder is low to the ground. I have plenty of mech bays and cbills so I can look at the BJ-1. I owned a blackjack at one point and sold it cause I hated it but that was early on in my MWO career.

my only issue is the speed. it is so slow even with a max 235

have all the dragons and I don't gauss on any of them. Fang is the only dragon I don't like, I just can't find a build the suites me and I've tried all sorts of wacky stuff.
