Kind of a one-trick pony, but the ECM/Gauss combo could be nasty. 30 shots. Alternatively, you could switch out a ton of ammo for a ML. Not as fast as some of the above, but the ECM would keep it alive.

Maybe it's not what all the cool kids run these days, but I like my Dragon Flame for this purpose:

Does 106.9 after speed tweak.

Loved this mech until they added the gauss charge. Than I turned into a spoiled child and didn't touch it for a long time. Now that I'm used to the charge it's time to save up for the engine so I can put this thing back together.

Eh, Firestarter could be useful if you have a jumpjet or two to exploit the hitreg issue with them, but I would bet more on the Cicada build. Nice how you built ECM into it!

Just kidding of course. Though the surprise would be worth it.

Wouldn't work, not enough heatsinks.

Grid Iron is about as close to Gauss machine Gun as it gets, and is nimble and plenty quick. Plus Dat RT HP quirks.... Also, IMO the "agility" or whatever, the feel of a HBK isn't that far off an Adder, similar speed and hill climb ability, although the Adder might be a little more sneaky, people tend to spot HBK for some reason. Maybe fear of the boomcannon it can mount.

I ran a Gauss Huggin before the quirks were in game. Also an AC20 Huggin. What a troll mech, "******* Guass Huggin lolz" was a comment I got more then a few times from team mates and enemy alike. Nowadays with the quirks it has, it would be a waste(might still be fun though) for your team if you didn't capitolize on it's strengths.

I LOVE me some gauss Raven but I get sad when I remeber how much better it was in Closed beta, so I stick with the AC20 Raven... Still very fun though.

Yeah, my AC20 Raven has a permanent slot. I even bought a 235 XL just for it. I tried refitting it as a gauss Raven one and discovered that I can't hit anything with gauss rifles.

235XL? You must have skimped on armor or ammo big time, I think mine had an XL200, with 10 SHS, endo/ferro, and 3 tons ammo + 1JJ.

I've got 3 tons of ammo. No JJ. Armor is reduced but not to bare-bones level (I usually run out of ammo before I die). The original version used a 255 XL and had 2 tons of ammo, which wasn't enough.

BJ-1 Gauss-Jack (or with a Standard Engine)

Not the fastest at 93.1 kph but i guess this is the smallest mech that can effectively use a Gauss Rifle with good ammo, near full armor (besides the unused arm) and some backup weapons.

Not fastest speed-wise but:

Grid Iron

Gauss fires like 3 chain fire gauss. HBK with a 260 engine goes about 87kph i wanna say...

SHD-2D. Similar to a previous build but faster and has a JJ. Definitely usable. Adjust armor to preference.
