I am sure that many of these omnipods will show up on Clan Hero mechs, which makes me wonder if we will be able to use omnipods from Clan Heros on non-Hero Clan mechs?

Top Clan Hero Candidates:

Natasha Kerensky's Dire Wolf
Nikolai Malthus' Summoner
Aiden Pryde's Timber Wolf

Thing is ...how much these clan hero mechs might cost :s

Boars head took me 35 dollars , my best mech and second best investment i made on this game after the overlord phoenix package.

will be interesting how much MC they want for the OmniPods or if you only get that one "set" that came with the mech until Cbill release...

TBH, if the omnipods are locked, that would be shameful IMO. Those are currently/only bought with C-bills anyways, so locking them from the rest of us would be annoying.

It would make better sense to have "locked away" the particular mechs like the Warhawk-C or the Direwolf-S because of their special CT omnipods... but that's not my business decision.

Most of the omnipods aren't really that interesting, other than some of the mechs that are in dire need of them (Summoner-M Left Torso for example).

I'm confused on that myself. It sounds to me like if you want the omnipods you have to buy the mech. at least if you don't want to wait 3 months from now.

Just looked at the Timberwolf D... it is the S without JJs so it's the return of the best LRM boat the clans have with 4 LRM15... man that was fun.

I doubt we'll be able to buy the omnipods (even not for mc)... I mean then there would be no incentive to spend "fresh" money...

Unless you have money to burn, I'd personally just wait.

Despite not knowing the pricing (let alone omnipod availability), there isn't really much going crazy for unless you need said omnipods now.

I could at least understand wanting to get the CT omnipod/chassis/variant... but I doubt the game would magically change that much seeing a Nova with missiles as example.

as I said in another thread..

I believe it's 6 missile hard points.

"These are supported by four Streak SRM-6 launchers with two in the left torso and two in the right torso. One Streak SRM-6 on both torsos is rear mounted."

So that's assuming they keep the rear mounted hardpoint but make it forward mounted like the others, and I believe that's what they have done in the past with other mechs that had rear facing weapons.

Maybe I'm off but I read it has 4 streak launchers. 2 in the left, 2 in the right. And 1 of those 2 is facing backwards. So at all you have 2 front SSRM6 and 2 rear SSRM6.

If they do lit like with every other mech you'll just have 2 missile hardpoints in every torso.

I really doubt that thing has 6 SSRM6 and two PPCs.

/edit:

no way you can fit 6 SSRM6 and PPCs:
TBR-PRIME
(3xNarc Ammo for second SSRM6)

I think everything in that sentence is saying 4 missile hardpoints total. How do you get 6?

Edit:
yup... just checked the TRO... its 4. 2 front and 2 rear... which will be 4 total in MWO.

SCR-NVA with 12 energy hardpoints sounds fun. 4xMPL + 6xERML = 74 damage in about 2.5 seconds, slow assaults will cry lol. 12 ERML might work on cold maps as well.

He made my NoVa very sad....

Hopefully he comes with armour quirks to the NoVa, to not be completely and utterly outclassed.

Is the Stormnova actually among the confirmed new pods? Are we getting all of the in-code pods or just some? Will the Timber gets its obnoxious triple-laser sniping left torso?

i hope its, at present ill be happy if i get the Nova A/C,
the NVA-D would be good but i would rather have LT-1M than RA-1M,

also for those thinking the SCR-NVA will be way over powered,
if you loaded it full of SL-SPL-ML your gonna have extra Tonnage but no space,
also remember the Nova has -10% heat gen, and the SCR doesnt what that means?
the SCR-NVA will run very very hot, those who run Novas know what i mean,

It's in the data, so the likelihood exists.

There's no guarantees though.
