@IraqiWalker
I wasn't ragging on the Crab, it's fast becoming my favorite mech..at least par with the Awesome now (maybe it just feels so slow to move and turn because my AWS move super fast in comparison).
A lot of pilots don't use the upper hardpoints, sure I'd like 2 lasers up top but I'd sacrifice too much to get them. Although I rarely run dry on ammo I have done when dropping a few tonnes of ammo for lasers..heatsinks aren't an option since I barely have any.
Just using the arm weapons is fine for me, still worth mentioning the downside to the new pilots.
It wrecks so hard I haven't wanted to change..specially vs light mechs, this assault kills more lights than any other I've used. Killing 3 lights per match isn't a rare thing now, I've had a lance of lights charge me face on and all popped within 10sec from overwhelming UAC fire.

I set up my 000B as the Gauss Crab and gave it backup MLs. Come to think of it, given the long-distance, would probably be fine with an XL. Like the (L), it was a very nasty mech in that build.
The 0000...well, that one was problematic. I set it up with LB10Xs, LPLs, SRMs - you name it. Finally dumped LRMs in it along with 4MLs and called it good. Seems to be pretty good in that role, but I always feel a 100 ton mech should be more of a damage sink for the team, rather than a far-off lurm-launcher.

Oh, I didn't think you were "ragging" on it, sorry if my post made it seem like that. I just wanted to add some clarifications.
Also, if you like running LRMs on your awesomes. I think you'd like this baby:
KGC-0000 I decided to go overboard on the ammo count, but it was too hilarious not to do it.
A brawler would be along these lines:
KGC-0000

The sides are useful because if you rotate torso fully while walking you can use left-ctrl for free view and see behind you without stopping to turn.
The depth of field changes put them in view like in the screenshot, but at the cost of making everything look smaller and further away, so smaller targets.
3 monitor setups can show the side windows, which would be nice.

My go-to crab is a quad U/AC5 setup, it pumps out 600-1000+dmg in every match with 3-8 kills and often 10+ actually targetted components destroyed...Crab assault is beast assault.

KGC-000(L) I've been running that baby for a few matches. If the enemy lets me close to within 300 meters, they are going to die too quickly to realize what hit them.

It has been my favorite set up so far, and I only have the loyalty one (doesn't have Gauss quirks). 50 PP FLD can be a real monster if they don't spot you.

Not to fond of that build... it ran a little too hot for my liking. I like the LLs or even ERLLs to reach out and touch someone. Im not sure what the damage is of an AC20 beyond its optimal range but it can't be anywhere near 20pts.

They are the same weight as an atlas, so the base cost is the same. Just factor in the cost of upgrades, and reduce the price a bit, since upgrades come at a discount when purchased stock with the mech.
FF 0.5M
DHS: 1.5 M
STD 300: 1.84M
AC 20: 0.6M each
So the cheapest should be about 10 Mil.

You have to act like a real crab, wait down a hole ready to claw a victim who wanders in to death.
The cave on Forest Colony is its home territory.
0000 crab on sale, looks like I will be mastering the set.

I'm still waiting for c-bill availability. Already have around 18 million put aside for them and almost enough XP on my reward crab to get all the elites and the master slot.

I know a LOT of ppl use builds similar to this. But time and again I decimate these builds one-on-one with my 4AC5/2AC2 crab! I have also beat out 4UAC5 crabs because I don't jam

All dat ammo and face time though plus I find that if I do not get focus fired into oblivion ( usually doesn't happen) I live pretty long in my crabcakes. However could you post a smurfys link with that build to see how much ammunition you are taking? I'm just deathly scared of running out of ballistic ammo and not having decent back up weapons. *cough* jager *cough*
