Thanks! I'll give the Naginata a look and trying out that QuickMech thing. I get server calculation errors from Remlab. ;)

Edit:

I gave it a go so I decided to make a primarily mid-long range Atlas with some close-range capability. I should move the LA LL to the RA tho to make it LA - ER PPC and RA - LL x2 :D

Fire groups would be:

Long-range - ER PPC, Gauss Rifle, LRM 20
Mid-range - Gauss Rifle, LRM 20, LL x2
Short-range - LL x2 and maybe alternating in the ER PPC (heat can't handle all three)

You can Alpha Strike and shut down/blow up at mid range with all weapons. :D

A 35ton scout 8/12/3movement, 4 tons of armour, Narc+1t of ammo( CASE secured just in case you want to load explosive narc ammo for whatever reason), TAG, 1 MPL for scaring other scouts, ECM, BAP and last bot not least you friend in any mixed range lance: a C3 slave in the head.
This is fast enough, got all the tools of a dedicated scout, added jump jets for getting on buildings or taking shortcuts over sheer cliffs ( i know 3 jump is not much concerning to hit modifiers in TT, but it is justfine to reach unexpected positions), and the C3 makes it work great with others. Only concern is the XL engine that makes it even more squishy.

To supplement it best: An assault mech artillery platform carying the C3 master unti for the lance. I just tested it: If you limit yourself to 10 tons of armour you can fit an Arrow IV, 2 LRM20, a total of 7 t of ammo and 5 ML for backup onto a 100ton chassis. Might be hard ingame with hadpoints though, especially the Arrow 4 with its cute little 15 crits spread over 2 zones.

Out of all of mine, i think i will use the stalker the most. Sounds easiest to maintain because i only need to pay for ammo.

CPLT-K2K - An upgrade to the K2 Catapult, the K2K model upgrades the engine to an extralight model. The twin PPCs have also been upgraded to two ER PPCs. The 'Mech also carries two ER Medium Lasers for close range firepower. To handle the added heat from the upgrades, the 'Mech uses 20 double heat sinks. I prefer flexibility in configurations, but generally I stick with one concept no matter the mech...efficient but light energy weapons for frequent use in bursts, and the biggest ballistic weapon that will fit for finishing shots. Missiles if and wherever they fit, ranged as suits my role.

Heres a light mech hunter

Centurion with 7/11(118.8 KMH) Tops speed, XL engine, 10 double heat sinks, and a LBX10 and SRM6, each with 1 ton of ammo. 7 tons of armor, it can chase and hunt down light mechs probably, anyone in Beta want to try this with nothing to lose?

Nice builds here but a couple of these variants won't be available for quite a few years (providing PGI sticks to the "1 day = 1 day" concept).

For those that don't know when there favorite variant enters the scene please refer to Master Unit List Search page. It may not be perfect but it will give you an idea on which build to look forward to in the very near future.

For those that don't care and just want to dream... thanks for the faith that the game will still be going in ten years?
