Whilst I like their thinking of other localities... the fact is there are many other mechanics that should be investigated then just fire a blanket fix of multiple ceasefire's are what are general bad times. If it does go on... doubt I'll participate in the Oceanic one, I'll just wake up early for the 9am EU window and then continue to do the NA ceasefire which will be pushed to 5pm my local time. It actually is a decentive doing my regional one to actually do ones that will matter (OCX probably won't move planets greatly).

3 windows means that what you actually do in CW will have more impact, as there is a shorter window to capture/defend a planet, so your results and where you fight matters.
It also covers the whole globe on a daily basis, so theres no "no ceasefires happening today in my timezone, I don't need to play". i.e. it encourages participation.
Windows could shift back and forth during the week like +\-1 hour to fine tune each need. I'ts better to plan time rather then come back from one work to another.

1:00 AM is not in any way, shape, or form, a good time for East Coast US players to end their gaming day! This new 1:00 AM CF time excludes every player who works a dayshift job that lives on the US East Coast. I can assure you that I will not spend another penny on MWO if the CW CF time remains at 1:00 AM.

Sir... You are playing this game way to much if you feel you cannot play anymore after 1am... There is the open Que to feed the need after 1am...

is that worse than what we had before or not?
you view is quite weird, becasue with this logic now 24 people come each of its own timezone.
the game would be bets if we had 50 zones and a planet si conquered when attackers reach 40 zones independend from any daytime or ceasife.
this way after it siwtches factions the new atackers starting at 40:10 base and have at leats to conquer 30 areas before it can switch again. yet defenders cna still extend the buffer from 40 to 50 by successful counterattacking.

I doubt CSJ will be able to field even 1 team during A-P times and will struggle to field more than 2 during Euro times. Which means we will lose planets to ghost drops. a LOT of planets. Maybe even 1-2 a day.
That is untenable.
I would have preferred either:
2 windows that rotate 8 hours per day (16 hour windows)
or
increase the zones to 30, and assign 10 to each region. Require 16 to win. alternately base the number of zones upon population (5 for A-P, 10 for Euro, 15 for NA). Then rotate the start time on a 36 hour schedule
but lets try it out and see. I very well might be wrong. It happen. Occasionally. :}

Deal with it. Heck, some of us night owls (yours truly works an 11-7 and usually goes to bed around 2AM) will be fighting at that hour and have other people around the world to help- and now those people also get windows to not feel like useless drags.

I get to play and watch the battles ramp up to the 2hr mark right before I go to bed.

Part of the problem is PGI wants to keep the rotation optimum for the pacific time zone. Don't blame them, but that's a problem.

As far as having families, other obligations, etc. Many others have those as well. Being only able to play two to three times a week is what you can contribute and there is nothing wrong with that, but should those that play every night or even four to five times a week be penalized for it?? Drawing a planets outcome over a three day period would create a situation of stagnation. The way they are changing it actually means more people will have a say in the outcomes, not less.
Some factions/clans have a huge NA presence , some have a huge European or Asian/Oceanic presence. Some have multiple. The constant back and forth of the changing of the planets throughout the CF's should prove interesting. Time will tell how well it works, but this is a very good first step.

It is only one hour later guys!
I usually am playing this till 1am on nights i play anyway so really no difference for me. Not to mention during the weekend i will be able to run 12's in TWO of THREE CW windows!
This will work out better then most are thinking In my opinion.
I also see this as being just a spinning of the wheel for most Medium to Small Units now. Planets will get taken back and forth in the windows and no one will gain any ground. They will just change from one hand to the other making no real progess where the Large units like MS and CI who could potentailly have a pressence around the clock will be taking world left and right...on 1 NA window will not be able to compete against the othre 2 timezones.
But we will see! I have doubt but i also have high hopes!
