It's an issue that is particularly unique to the Warhawk. All of the current omnis that have Ferro would likely want to keep it (they tend to have huge engines, or already have low usable tonnage and mostly want more). While 2 tons for the Warhawk would be nice, it's not really making or breaking builds and isn't really what's the biggest obstacle for Warhawk builds and I'm pretty sure there are very few Warhawk builds that could actually use both Endo and Ferro. So personally I'm not really fussed either way, it would be "nice to have" but really it wouldn't change much.
To fit endo on the Warhawk for most builds, you'd have to downgrade from FF to standard armor. And keeping a similar armor level (you'd actually be able to squeeze in 8 more points) you'd only gain 1 ton of pod space over the current Warhawk.
If you kept both on, you'd have plenty of extra weight, but not enough crit space to use 6-10 tons of it.
The real issue with the Warhawk is the 10 tons of locked heat sinks that keep it from boating Gauss Rifles like a boss.
And because of ghost heat and 1.4 heat sinks, it is barely able to boat 2 ER PPCs, let alone the 4 it comes with stock.
Decent builds tend to use Large Pulse lasers in place of the ER PPCs. 50% less heat, 100% less travel time.
I think the Warhawk is probably first among losers when it comes to the clan mechs. I've been having fun in mine.
