I really have a blast playing my HBK-4G, HBK-4SP and Yen-Lo-Wang, but I'd love to have a Medium Mech that plays similarly but with Jump Jets.

I had hoped the Shadow Hawk would be that Mech, but I was sorely disappointed when I got them, as they are huge, clumsy Mechs that play more like a Heavy Mech with less armor.

I have the St Ives Blue and the Sparky, and judging from those two so far, the Griffins seem promising whereas the Vindicators do not.

Other than that, I have not played any of the other JJ capable IS Medium Mechs. So, is there a Mech that plays like the Cent / HBK but with Jump Jets, or should I just give up trying to find it?

Griffin. As you said the SHD doesn't have favourable hitboxes, the Kintaro is huge, the Wolverine is close to the Griffin but it's chubby, the Vindicator also handles like a heavy due to engine limit . . . .and that's pretty much it.

Griffin has good hitboxes and profile, it's nimble and it can pack a lot of punch with SRMs.

Wolverine if you want an arm ballistic, the 6R is quite competent with its heavily quirked AC5's and load 'o SRM's. The griffin is a bit more twisty but lacks ballistic options. Both Griffins and Wolverines are very fun mechs to pilot.

The Trebuchet is a 50t Mech with Jumpjets - depending what you want it may or may not have an Option for you.

The HBK is the only IS Medium Mech that is not way Oversized.

the upcoming enforcer will meet your needs. at 50t it should feel a bit more energetic than the 55t mechs and with an ac/10 and large laser it will be a nice balance of arms that you can alpha repeatedly

Wolverine 6R if you want the arm cannon ballistic that the centurion has.

Otherwise go with the Griffin, good hitboxes and has torso turn for days, but lacks the ballistics.

I have no suggestions cos Im a clanner FO LYF, but I just wanted to say I totally know what you mean about Shadowhawks. My first mechs were HBKs & I loved them, tried to graduate to SHDs for exactly the same reasons as you, bought the 2H and sold it after a week. Couldn't stand how big & clumsy it was.

The SHD is a Heavy Mech in Assaultsize in the Medium Weightclass - still one of the better Mediums as it has good placed Hardpoints and is Jumpcapable.

I'm not super certain about what you're exactly looking for however, I've been in a similar position. I own a Shawk but haven't touched the thing in forever for reasons similar to what you've experienced. I have had the Yen Lo Wang for over a year now, though, and really love it as a skirmisher and brawler. It excels at hitting hard and spreading the damage it receives. If that is your criteria with the addition of jumpjets then let me plug a little for the Vindicator 1AA.
The thing that the 1AA has over the St Ives Blues is the bigger engine and jumpjet max. Running max on both of those will give you a pretty maneuverable machine especially after eliting. Twisting and jumping is the Vindicator's equivalent of the Yen Lo's shield arm. If you play it right, all of your components should be pretty beat up before you a lose a part and you've ideally done a lot of damage by that point. It's great for hitting and fading and then diving into the brawl once the number of mechs on the field start dropping.

Enforcer is coming up and it's basicly a centurion with jumpjets.

Well... looks like I better start saving my cbills... unless they totally botch it, that's a hard one to resist.

As for the OP, I, too, like the idea of a "flying Centurion."

Some Wolverines can do that, and Griffins are mobile, but lack ballistics. Shadowhawks are more like flying Hunchbacks, with weapons focused in the torso and poor cockpit visibility because of the big guns.

The Flying Dakka Wolverine is probably worth a look for you, considering its on sale.

Perhaps later. I already have the Griffins and Vindicators to grind through, as well as the Stalkers now that they are on sale; there's only so much I can afford.

That being said, I'm not sure about the 6K Wolverine; it seems very ammo dependent given it's a ballistics / missiles variant.

It is ammo dependent, but you can get more ammo into, with more damage potential, than a cent, while still having JJs and decent (90kph +) speed.

I also don't run mine with SRMs, just a single ML, because more dakka. Flying Dakka.

I had a lot of fun with the Trebs way back when (some can jump). I'n not 100% sure what you mean by "plays similarly" to the mech you listed. I am having a good time with the Wolverine. Best medium in the game now is Cicada but they don't jump.

The Wolverine 7K is similar to the HBK-4SP
runs 3xSRM6a + 2+ ML
You should be able to run a 275 std with JJs

I mean the way the Mechs handle and what their role in a match is. For example, the Shadw Hawk is the complete antithesis of what I'm looking for; it's a slow, clumsy, giant-sized Mech designed for sitting back and supporting from range.

I can understand your opinion on the Shawk - but you also have to keep in mind that, those roles and feel can change greatly.

IE: to me the Gargoyle feels a lot like the Shadowhawk - something many people have called me crazy for stating.

In other words - we may need some more information on which parts of it you want it to be like
