-Plasma weapons are efficient!

-Same armor will protect against heat, electrical, magnetic, kinetic and physical weapons equally well. No nanotech or smart-material used!

-A mech can survive 15-20 missiles, but 1 AC-20 shot will cripple it.

-Mechs can be "climbed on" by infantry, that plant explosives.

-Machine guns are more terrifying to infantry then fusion powered lightning guns.

Not really a fact, but still ridiculous.. In the battletech novel Exodus Road.. The disgraced clan jaguar mechwarrior trent weakens a Atlas's armor with his PPC and runs straight through the 100 ton mech. Im sorry but not bloody likely the mech would get passed through like a fart in the wind ahah

-A giant 100t battlemech with its huge size that has to be armored is less vulnerable than a 100t tank (despite the fact that we can assume that said tank is more compact and therefore could be much thicker armored with the same weight of armor)

-infantry usually operates together in 20-30 men strong units and stays rather close together, so that they can be better mowed down with Battlemech MGs and Artillery

-Though the entire galaxy has been searched, only the human race managed to become sentient. No other star system produced what can be considered even semi-intelligent life.

One of the most ridiculous facts is that in the 31 millenium some slow bipedal antropomorphic mechs are the most awesome weapons of war.
Well, it would be easier to find what is NOT ridiculous in BT - and it's mostly everything that does not concern technology.

-In the future people forgot that fitting a longer barrel to high calibre weapons gives them longer range. (seriously someone can fit a stupidly complex gauss rifle to a Hollander and it never occurred to them to fit a 120mm high velocity cannon?)

Actually only a small part of the galaxy has been visited by jumships. So they might be out there somewhere.. or not

• Computer systems capable of controlling a fusion power plant inside a moving, jumping, falling etc mech are not capable of getting a decent aim for the weapons.
  
• Despite mechs positivly glowing from their exess heat, heat seeking missiles are absent.
  
• A 100 ton metal mosnter with a fusion reaktor that screams lowdly "HERE" in infrared, on a magnetometer, and probably also in gamma radiation can HIDE behind a building.

Not true, the noble Tetatae are a sentinent species that is part of the BT canon

Actually, if you read the sarna.net link provided (or the novel that is referenced there) you'll find that they do taste kinda like chicken.

Mechwarriors (after having mowed down pretty many enemy infantrymen) exit their cockpit (in a warzone!) to count bodies for the statistics

Just imagine an F-117 Pilot lands after bombing his target, just to look if he really hit - lol.
